[Preacher] The Saint of Killers killed the Devil in the late 1800s. Who managed Hell for the next century or so?
Since God would have been aware of this, he would have appointed someone else to the position. But I don’t think the series ever said who.

Herr Starr just says "the afterlife is fucked" after interviewing the father of Genesis. Although he seemed to think it was a good thing having something of a God complex himself. Otherwise, angels run everything anyway.

Does Hell need management? With no coordination, things go to hell, but Hell is already there.

I don't think anyone did, which is why Hell doesn't really show up in the narrative afterwards. Note God doesn't even threaten people with damnation afterwards.

The Angel of Death was there when the Devil was killed, I always wondered if he took over.
