8 year old Labrador with concerning blood report
My 8-year-old dog has been lethargic but is still eating. He had ticks on his body, and his urine was dark brown for about 2 weeks but has now turned yellow after hydration.
He was treated for fever a week ago and has been on antibiotics since. He was on IV for 4 days alternately. His blood report is concerning (attached), showing severe anaemia and low platelets.
I live in a village in India, where access to veterinary specialists is limited.
Could this be a tick-borne disease like babesiosis or ehrlichiosis? What tests or treatment should I prioritise, and could he need a blood transfusion?
Any guidance on what I should urgently ask a local vet would be greatly appreciated.
