AUS Interstate licence transfer
Hi, I’m looking at moving interstate from QLD to WA. I am currently on a good behaviour period, still have 9 months left on it. Do you know if I am able to attain a WA license or does any of that carry over?

My daughter moved from nsw to qld to nsw a couple of years ago. 9 points from nsw went to zero in qld. 6 points from qld went to zero in nsw (her original 9 points had timed out in the period)
Might have changed since then this was about 4 years ago.

The good behaviour period won't carry over, demerit schemes are state-based, but don't think that means a clean slate: WA will generally make you transfer within 3 months of moving and the national database means your history follows you anyway. Worth calling DoT WA directly before you move, they'll give you a straight answer on how they treat an active QLD period.
