Lady Bird board walk closure??

Post image

TxDOT mentioned this section of the boardwalk will be closed 10/12 - 12/19 but I happened to see somebody's recorded run from this morning and they went through the entire portion.

Just curious on if anybody knows if it's actually open. I plan on going through tomorrow and don't want to detour if I don't have to. Thanks!

ah nice, that's good to know. txdot signs always make it sound like the whole thing is fenced off and then you get there and it's just some cones pushed to the side. guess i won't bother with the detour tomorrow

It was open all day, but a friend said she was detoured the day before. Not sure what time it was. Maybe they close it during the week?

They finished early and it's already back open.

Ask for forgiveness NOT permission!

I wouldn't know because I've never heard of LB lake, only Town Lake.

Different closures. This clarifies what was actually put out.

It's the exact same closure. They probably said it would last until Monday in case weather delayed the work.

Haha I thought it was the same closure but then started second guessing my reading abilities

There’s a longer closer for the path that actually goes (used to) over Lady Bird Lake next to 35 and then there’s the one along the lake that was supposed to be closed this weekend but apparently wasn’t. Both are shown in that graphic and they didn’t follow the dates… there’s not really a good way to know.

No, it’s not. The date range the OP posted are different, or a typo, than the closure dates shared for that section of trail. It doesn’t say until Monday 10/19 anywhere.

Bro, he's saying that the trail is open when Txdot said it would be closed today the 17th. You posted a flier that says the exact same part of the trail would be closed on the 17th. It's clearly the same closure. He just got the last day wrong.

He asked for clarity but with incorrect dates so I just pointed him to what was put out, and noted there are different closures. I didn’t say it was correct or whether he was right or wrong about it being open or not. I was just pointing to what was actually said by DOT on it. There was nothing for you to be contrarian about.
