Avengers Doomsday/Secret Wars I cry a little every time I think of spiderman losing to the foz X-Men Spoiler

Knowing the MCU and the direction it's taking, I can imagine they wouldn't present anything too shocking in this scenario, but just imagining Spider-Man losing alone gets me a little emotional.

Please remember that this is r/Avengers and as such, it's for the Avengers comics and movies specifically. This is not a subreddit for general Marvel Cinematic Universe posts or anything like that. You may be looking for subreddits like r/MarvelStudios instead.

To be fair, comicbook Spiderman is absurdly OP to the point he can take on literally every single hero and villain on Earth at the same time and win. That's just stupid and no way the MCU has him that powerful.

You powerscaling people dont get It, I'm frustrated because, although I sympathize with Spider-Man as a character and as a human being, a character's defeat is dictated solely by the script and not by whether he's powerful or not.

That's the same with literally every story ever. The story dictates what happens. That's sorta the general idea of story telling.

yes. One man against a whole time of superpowered mutants. How dare make Spider-man lose?

I'm not saying it's impossible for him to lose, on the contrary, it makes a lot of sense, but I still love him and I think I have the right to feel whatever I want about it.

I'm hoping he gets to be alive in Battleworld afterwards, but it indeed is a sad thing to imagine
