I had a drawing if a Phonix i saved for a tattoo design. That im slowly working on to make it in color how i want it. I figured there is a bunch of leaves or feather floating are the bird. That i would make look like they are on fire. Im learning as go, and not a expert. Just trying some new things.

I started drawing in June of this year. I know I messed up the shadow on the second but does anyone have tips for lighting??

please note that this isnt really my first time drawing i used to draw newbie anatomy and dropped it because i posted it on Instagram and got a my first hate comment 🙃. i didnt bother to do it anymore , so im back to square one again , i decide to do these when i had a free period take a look and rate it and give some tips too much appreciated
