How the prisons Paul and Peter were held in influenced their writing?

This video has an interesting description and explanation of what the prisons were like in the Ancient Rome. I thought it was interesting how they shape how we read Peter and Paul's letters, because I've literally never thought about how being in prison influences the words they wrote. Those words then influence how we're trying to live our lives based on what they wrote. It's kind of cool that this dude in this video discovered a prison that was undiscovered. Anyway, I thought it was interesting.
