Help 100% Completion Blasphemous 2 - 100% Checklist

Hi there,

I enjoyed this game so much that I made Blasphemous 2 100% Checklist.

It covers EVERY SINGLE IN-GAME ITEM / QUEST.

From Charms and Prayer Beads, through all collectibles, Marks and upgrades, to secrets, missables and DLC content.

I found 596 items / things to do, which I consider to be necessary for 100% Completion and I've catalogued them all into nice checklists with screenshots, descriptions, visuals and more.

At the top of that is a 100% Progress Tracker that visualizes your progress in the game.

--------------

Why I did it: If you're like me, you've noticed that the wikis / maps / 100% tools for this game are kinda lackluster, misleading and unfinished. Many posts are asking about not-popping achievements or missing items, so it's time to change it and make the requirements a bit clearer.

How I made it: I made a gigantic spreadsheet with every item, then used a python builder to make it into tables.

I'm a completionist, I've already done it for other games so I have some experience.

Tech-wise, it is a simple group of html pages with JS / cloud progress saving. You can also filter out Mea Culpa and The Third Sin + some additional features.

You can track simply in your browser without any account right-away, but if you want, you can make a free account that will safely store in in the cloud.

Progress is manual, no save import etc - best used on a new run or at the end, comparing everything you have.

Any feedback is appreciated!

Blasphemous II (Sequel) The Third Sin DLC is some of the best platforming I've played in a while

Possible Spolier ahead, though I tried to keep them to a minimum!

So I'm new to the Blasphemous series. That was actually super interested in the first one when they showed the first trailer years ago, but life got in the way with kids and everything else and I never ended up playing it. But this week the second one was on sale for 7 bucks and I could not pass it up. And what an excellent purchase it has been!

I'm currently sitting at 23 hours with what I think is close to half of the main game (I have the three people unlocked at the bottom of your pause screen but kome of the birds). But about 8-10 hours of that have been spent in The Third Sin DLC and what a fucking ride! Like I really can't say enough good about this DLC, bit I'd love to sing a bit of it's praises.

First of all the art direction is absolutely impeccable. Even my wife, who's not really a gamer, stopped what she was doing at several points to watch and remark, "wow, that looks like a painting." And she's completely right. From the massive library halls you navigate, to the corridors filled with spikes and broken stone pillars, and especially during the scenes where you're outside and the moon is behind you, this DLC has some of the best background art I've seen in a long time. There is one fight in particular on a dark bridge with the moon backlit behind you. It was a pretty tough fight for me, but the whole thing was extremely epic.

Then you have the sound design. The enemies all have dope sounding attacks and movement sounds that they make. The new weapons and spells all also sound really good. The voice acting for the new characters was really well done in my opinion. But the best part to me has been the background music. And this is really been true for the entire game, it's got some amazing background music. But they really knocked it out of the park with this DLC. like, they have legitimately been moments where I've stopped playing just to sit and listen.

I also think they nailed the enemy design in general. I have not really looked into the development of this dlc, but between the weapon you get and the enemy and the level design, it screams classic Castlevania to me. And I mean that as an absolute compliment. The enemies are all creepy, haunting, and best of all deadly. When you have dudes throwing their razor chakrams at you, well ghosts are shooting projectiles at you, and gargoyles are spitting fire, it's complete chaos and when you overcome it, you feel like a champion. The enemies here are deadly, but they did a great job of making the Penitent One more deadly as well.

The addition of Embrujo (again, Castlevania anyone?) is probably my favorite part of the DLC honestly. There's a few different reasons I like it so much. For one, just the attacks that it gives you look cool, feel cool, and do some work in the dlc. I haven't tried it out of the dlc, but I imagine it's still pretty good. Being able to aim your attacks in different directions (which I SUCK at sometimes) is really helpful when you're dealing with enemies that like to strike downwards and fly around a lot. The special attacks it comes with in the skill tree are all really cool as well. Spending your little whip-spike-chain around is fucking cool and always will be. But it also adds some of the toughest and coolest platforming sections I've seen in a game in a while. There are parts where you are having to use the skill of the embrujo to whip around, hit bells in midair to activate platforms, switch to Sarmiento to zip around with some mirrors, switch back to Embrujo AGAIN to hit another bell, and then whip around on grappling points that are only active for a few seconds. All while deadly spikes cover the floor beneath you. Let's just say my butt has been clenched a lot the last few days.

Seriously, I know I'm probably preaching to the choir here but this game has been an absolute blast. Sometimes I forget how much I like to do platformers until I play a good 2D platformer. And this is a great 2D platformer. It's like a weird mix of Metroid/Castlevania, Dead Cells, and Dark Souls. Maybe with a little Shadow Temple from Zelda thrown in. It's weird, kinda creepy, and super fucking addictive. Without too many spoilers, can anyone tell me if the other DLC holds up as well as this one?

Blasphemous II (Sequel) Is it just me that didn't know this?

• Upvotes

So I was at a convent today as the penitent boy and met a playtester for the sequel

she told me that the codename/secret name for the testing phase of the game was

"Project Hat"

If I had to guess it's referencing the penitent ones big ass hat

Just a cool little fact

I don't remember seeing this guy beside Gemino on my first playthrough,is it because I beat Tres Angustias before Lady of the charred visage? I beat Ten piedad then talked with Gemino to get the thimble then I beat Tres Angustias, then Lady of the charred visage and then returned him the oil. So who is this guy?

Do you think the developers will now update the achievements in order for us to be able to get platinum without the DLC content?

Help 100% Completion Have they fixed the progression bugs yet?

I last played just after the doc with the flail came out (don’t remember its name) and I was trying to get 100% for the second game. However, I remember I stopped playing due to a bug that meant two of my complete saves weren’t registered as complete due to the dlc progression.

I just wanted to ask if this is now fixed and the map can be 100% completed as well as saves so I can finally get my full completion.

Thanks

I beat her first try and was taken aback when she didn't stand up again and I got the achievement and even the 'Requiem Æternam' screen and then came an option to hit her which i expected which would cut those chains on her, but it just slashed her and she flew away.

I am so confused

Help 100% Completion 100% save file help / with all dlc

(blasphemous 2) So I've been trying to get the 100% on one save file and I'm at 99%... I have all the achievements and have done all side quests but still no luck... The only thing that comes to my mind is the prisoner quest... If that's the only thing I have left to get I'll have to go on a Ng+ and complete the 100% again???

Blasphemous II (Sequel) I have been fighting Lesmes and Infanta for five hours.

Ascended file, and a couple extra challenges added, including the inventory reset. Dozens, probably close to one hundred deaths. I don't get hit on P1, sometimes take a hit or two on P2, but P3 is just...five bloody hours, man. I've read people's advice here. Sarmiento and Centella for Lesmes, Veredicio for Infanta and Ruego al Alba for the pair. I WILL get these two, but it's been horrible.

Sorrowful be the heart.

EDIT probably 10 hours spent just fighting them, I finally got it. I don't feel triumphant, just relieved that I can move on to the rest of the game. I can't really say what I did differently nor can I add any more insight in case someone else is struggling. Only that this boss sucks and I feel a bit idiotic for spending so much time on it.

And now every time I listen to it I think of that game, it really fits too well and it's even more powerful if you're in the desecrated cistern or Albero

Help 100% Completion Just need some confirmations for NG+

I was at 97.X% when i ascended. Im going for 3 achievements in this run Crossing Souls, Reqieum Aeternam and Witness of the Miracle.

i dont wanna do the whole 112 or whatever the game has, just doing it for achievement

what is the checklist i should avoid doing here.

as of now , i have talked to rodento twice, have not talked to the guy in church window, also did first boss hitless

Do i have to get all kisser of wound ?
Do i have to do ending B then ending A OR do ending C?

Also i have to open the secret area in the library with the npc with chains (i missed a prayer bead last time) and do the eventide quest?

Am i safe as long as i dont equip custodia of sin or the apodictic heart of mea culpa
