💬 Need Advice Would it be wrong to leave someone bc their constant busy schedule?
I’ve been with my bf for 2 years. We live together for 1. He is constantly busy with work and coaching and just all these other things going on. I also work but I get home at 2pm. So im constantly just waiting on him all the time not bc i only need him but yes it would be nice to see my partner. He doesn’t get home till 8 pm some nights. So I leave at 5 am and don’t see him till 8. It’s just not something I love in this relationship. On top of already multiple ongoing issues in our relationship. He wants to also come home and have time for his hobbies which makes sense he’s still his own person but I already don’t see him much as it is so when he wants to go home and play video games after being gone all day it kind of hurts he doesn’t want to spend time with me. Am I wrong ? Is this just something i need to accept and I’m being immature about or would it be a valid reason to leave . I’m already not happy with the issues we have going on and throwing this on top of it … idk.

It’s okay to leave a relationship for any reason. Do you love him? It sounds like there are much worse issues than him just working a lot.

You are not being immature for wanting to see the person you live with. A schedule that leaves you waiting every evening is not a small thing, it is a daily reminder that you are not a priority in the life you share. He is allowed his work and his hobbies, but you are allowed to admit that this is not the relationship you want. Stop asking whether you are wrong to feel lonely. Loneliness is not a character flaw. It is information.
If the other issues are already weighing on you, do not let this one become the thing you swallow to keep the peace. You can leave without needing him to be a villain. You can say that the distance in your days has become too much and that you want a partnership where presence is not something you have to schedule and beg for. That is not immature. That is honest. The question is not whether you have a valid reason. It is whether you are willing to keep living with a reason that hurts you.
