Hi everyone! 19F wanting to socialise more

Hello! I really want to get out of my comfort zone and meet new people in my area that I can be friends with :) I get along with most people but i’m super quiet so most conversations don’t go past the introductory stuff. I’m super into anime/video games, I like cosplaying and my close friends would describe me as weird, funny and chill. I’m keen to watch movies or go to conventions or concerts together! Any gender is fine from ages 18-22 :D

Hello team! I am an introverted gay guy who likes to take life in a slow pace. I am not that adventurous, but I try to find happiness in little things, like working in my garden, reading, petting neighbourhood cats, long walks, attending concerts/ museums, watching tv shows and doing jigsaw puzzles etc. Due to my non-exciting life, it’s difficult for me to make friends. If you are also someone who enjoys sitting on a bench and imagining the shape of the clouds, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Hello everyone!
I was wondering if there were other alternative nerds I could get to know who enjoy raves and clubbing :)

I'm a nondescript socially-awkward white guy in his 20s who has no friends or social life.
I enjoy doing generic young people things I just don't have anyone to do them with

- outdoors, hiking, gym, beach
- trying new restaurants
- going to the cinema
- nightclub, concert/rave, festival

I work two part-time jobs and consequently am rarely available on regular weekends or at the kinds of hours where most people go to hobby activities or socialise in traditional 3rd spaces. This results in me being free on random days of the week and having no one to do anything with, and little motivation to do anything by myself.

I've been capable of making temporary friends at hostels overseas when I'm surrounded by lone travellers who are also looking to make temporary friends at their hostels, but here at home I'm just too socially awkward to make friends. Everyone I meet has an established social group and by default isn't actively looking to expand it, and especially not to include someone like me.

Overall there's genuinely nothing interesting or enticing about me whatsoever, I'm a copy-paste filler person you see on public transport or at the grocery store. In person I struggle with eye contact, trip over my own words, and I can't hold a conversation to save my life. There were times in my life where I was better at socialising, but just don't get the practice anymore due to lack of opportunities and regular contact with people.

What I should note, is I'm not a "nerd" kind of person, not that there's anything wrong with that. I don't watch anime, I don't play videogames, I'm not the type of person who would join a boardgame group or play dungeons & dragons. I don't do cosplay, I'm not into star wars or super heroes or comic books, and I'm not interested in joining anyone's polycule. I don't have a drug problem, I'm not a recovering alcoholic, I haven't recently been released from prison or a mental asylum either. If you can tolerate a boring quiet under-socialised person you can tolerate me, I have no skeletons in the closet or anything, I'm alone because the world simply doesn't know that I exist.

If you're a group of guys and/or girls and you need an extra person to do something with, I'd be happy to join just for the human interaction.

Hey Brisbane! I’m 28 and looking to expand my circle. Figured I should put a little more effort into meeting people instead of hoping a new friend magically appears between work and a workout.
A bit about me: I’m into business, music, fitness and building something of my own. I enjoy talking about big ambitions, but I’m equally happy grabbing a coffee and getting distracted by a completely ridiculous conversation. I take my goals seriously, myself a little less.
Music recommendations are always welcome. Send me your favourite song and I’ll give it a proper listen, even if I quietly question your taste afterwards 😂
I’d love to meet people for coffee, workouts, live music or exploring somewhere new around Brisbane. Also very happy with a walk and a conversation that somehow goes from what to have for dinner to what we want out of life.
You don’t need to share all my interests. Having your own passions, a sense of humour and a little curiosity is more than enough. Tell me about something you love. I like people who get excited about things.
If this sounds like your kind of friendship, send me a DM here on Reddit. Start with a song recommendation or an unpopular opinion, and we’ll go from there 🙂
