Is this really an "own" though? Binance is a "central authority." He had every opportunity to use a DeX + cold wallet which is the whole point of cryptocurrency.

Everything in crypto involves "central authorities."
The software you're running, whether it's the bitcoin core or some wallet firmware, was written by "central authorities."

He was laundering crypto, he ended up spilling the beans eventually.
He was sent crypto from Russia, withdrew most and left his cut in the account, sent the cash to Russia and the exchange Binance flagged his account and itâs sanctioned/gone forever.
He had a very sus post history, all his posts were about Russia/crypto/how to not get detected etc etc

u/ClutchReverie 1d ago
So he was using bitcoin for a primary use case

u/Cotton101btw 1d ago
He was laundering money from Russia to Eu and taking the cash back to Russia.
Itâs the same as the old scam where someone sent you a check, you deposited it and gave them some only the cash and kept the rest in your account, check didnât clear and funds reversed and now you owe the bank what you withdrew and gave away.
He was doing the same with crypto from Russia which is a no no.

This is actually good for Bitcoin unironically. At least they try to stop some money laundering.

they try to stop some money laundering.
But all the "advantages" of bitcoin are founded on the premise that that there is no "they"
Definitely a bit ironic.

Is it always under the birdbath? Asking for a... friend, not an excavator or a spade, a friend yes.

Dude writes like an idiot too. Gets a full, professional, explanation. Responds with âI want my moneyâ lol. Â
