The only CD-Rs I've ever really had a problem with were a completely unbranded stack that had zero printing on them.

I don’t buy those ones lol, for some reason I really like the is it live or is it Memorex thing on them. The new ones they made after they changed the logo were boring and lame lol

I bought a box of 400 from CompUSA back in the day and still have about 200 that I didn't even touch. Well, unless I need a coaster on my desk.

Sell them on eBay lol, they’re pretty plentiful there idk if that’s surprising or not though.

I have lots of Audio CDs, Playstation 1 and Dreamcast games on Memorex. They work to this day.
I've used many brands; Sony, Verbatim, Memorex, TDK, Maxell, Gigastorage, Staples, etc. and never really had any issues. I'd guess I have a 90-95% success rate.
I recently brought out my PS1 (with modchip) and noticed that the newer Verbatims skip on cutscenes more then the older (20+ years old) discs do. The older discs seem to have a darker dye on the bottom so its must work better on the old laser.
These new Verbatims work great on my CD player and Blu-ray player (I used that as a CD player as well)
