No, I'm saying you have so much fake pride that's thoroughly wrapped up in a sporting team that you're unable to objectively look at the football team that you allegedly are a fan of.
Frankly, you just sound like the kind of asshat that can't handle the thing they've made their personality not being the absolute best in the world. It's embarrassing for you.
I don’t have any pride in them anymore. I never played for them. I was a student there a long time ago. I think the program has been run poorly and they do break our hearts regularly.
Not quite a part of my personality but a fan of theirs, yes. Enough that it’s is hard to watch them lose like this. I agree I shouldn’t care this much. That you are certainly correct on.
I'll speak on behalf of the caring aspect. Nebraska doesn't have any Pro anything, and half of the states around us don't either so it's not like we can root for a neighbor Pro team that has any real significance to Nebraska. You grow up in Nebraska wearing red shirts to Bakers etc, no matter your age, on game day. It's thick in the air and it crackles with excitement. It's a bit magic. But that's it. No pro investments whatsoever. We get that one day a week for a small bit of time to root for Nebraska. Not like states with pro teams in all 4...I mean, that's saturation and year-round, possible PRIDE spikes on a win! So a lot of us 'care' about it, why not when we get so little of it? It's our heroin.

I grew up in Nebraska City as a St Louis Cardinals fan. But aside from that, have you forgotten about the Kansas City Chiefs?
As far as the rest of what you said...I don't know how someone who has said the things that THAT POSTER has said in this thread can possibly consider themselves a fan of the team. Those are not the words of a fan, they're the words of an egomaniacal asshat whose personality is wrapped up in how a football team does.
I am thinking you're just as passionate about being "right" at all costs even when off on a illogical tangent. I have no reason to root for the Kansas City Chiefs so why are you even going there? I said HALF of the bordering states don't have pro sports. If you had a jet I'd tell you to cool it, but obviously you only have a cardboard go kart.

I'm simply countering your illogical statements.
I have no reason to root for the Kansas City Chiefs so why are you even going there?
You stated, and I quote "so it's not like we can root for a neighbor pro team that has any real significance to Nebraska". There is a HUGE Kansas City Chiefs following in Nebraska. Whether you specifically have any reason to root for the Chiefs is irrelevant as regards the rest of the state.
If you had a jet I'd tell you to cool it, but obviously you only have a cardboard go kart.
You're not beating the allegations, you're only confirming them.
Nebraska fans who think that because we spend a bunch of money on the program, that we should just beat teams like Indiana are completely delusional. We haven’t earned the right to be the “proud program we once were”
Playing Indiana as close as we did today is a great step in the right direction based on the last year We lost to this team by 49 2 years ago.
Perhaps. I didn’t say we should be expecting wins like this. I said I’m over moral victories. We do invest a lot to be dog shit, historically. We recruit well and spend well to underperform. I expect to lose the games we should and be in the 8-9 win mark consistently.
We piss away leads in the 4th enough that I’m just done with moral victories and that’s not delusional. Them being Indiana doesn’t make blowing that lead acceptable.

What are you proud of? Playing 75% of a game and quitting?
