.... i mean, i wish i could say something positive about this game, but I'm struggling.

The only person who seemed to want to be on the field from florida was Philo... who is also the person that the fan base is going to try to blame.

When the 2nd most excited person to be out there is the HBC for the speech between the quarters, we have issues. So, we have issues.

I have no idea what happened to the line and Baugh - there's something missing, and no idea what.

I'm still in on Sumrall - just no idea what to say. You can call last week our trap game.... but this week? what can we call this week? We didn't want to be on the field and it showed. The oline got exposed again and it showed....

We have no heart, and that isn't on Philo - him and Stockton (and Prior when he got reps) were the only ones that wanted to be on that field for UF. The rest of the guys, no idea what's going on.

Singleton was supposed to be the highlight guy and hasnt shown it.

Wilson is supposed to be the star and when given WR1 he can't get YAC against DB1.

Line isn't getting the push they did W1-W4.

No idea what is going on, but at this rate, i might actually be able to afford tickets to our next home game in month. And that's not a good thing.

The throwback unis looked great. That’s a positive

About the only redeeming part of that game

u/RecentFun6469 7d ago

Nah Bailey Stockton was a baller too we’d have at least 10 less points without him today

6

u/olGo7d North Carolina Tar Heels 7d ago

Agreed, the uni’s were pretty sweet

2

u/anonthegreat69 6d ago

I did enjoy those. And I didn't pay for my tickets, so that was nice.

I absolutely hate them

you are wrong. they were slick.

Odd to see whites at home sure, but those unis were the best thing on the field from UF

5

u/FlareEK Florida • Arizona State 7d ago

we need to bring them back against LSU and revive the practice of wearing white against them so they cant

I'm wrong about a personal preference? Got it

They were gorgeous!

The helmets were just atrocious

Florida's default helmets are awesome. It should take a really sick alternate to depart from them.

I hate to tell you this, but in addition to purchasing our offensive coordinator and most of our offense, you have purchased the unfortunate legacy of Georgia Tech football. Enjoy.

Agreed. Players look like they don't want to be there. Which is weird because Jon is always so hyped. Almost feels like he's lost the team.

It’s his first season. It takes time to build a culture. It’s even harder to build a culture in the current NIL/transfer era.

At the end of the day Jon sumrall says all the right things, and I think he is the long term coach for the Gators. But it looks like the players got high on their own supply after the Ole Miss game and forgot that they still had 8 weeks of football left to play. I think they right the ship on the bye week and go take it to Texas

9

u/CripzyChiken Florida Gators • Team Meteor 7d ago

except texas is next, then bye, then uga.... and texas just lost....

but i also like sumrall. he says the right things, and -especially after bn - brings in the right people. Just was expecting a lot more this week as a wakeup after mizzou. I think it's more that this is 2 weeks straight that is the most concerning to me.

Dude got NIL money and didnt share it.

2

u/CripzyChiken Florida Gators • Team Meteor 7d ago

At best philo is an estimated 1.8M and not in the top 10 in the sec.... sure, he took the bag and left the other 28.2M estimated UF football NIL to no one else

1

u/UsedandAbused87 Florida • Northwest Missouri… 7d ago

I meant to reply to a post about the o line not blocking for Baugh

3

u/CripzyChiken Florida Gators • Team Meteor 7d ago

Fair. I'm been annoyed at people blaming philo so just assumed that.

I think Baigh is worth his 1.3. I think he is worth more. He will be the first RB off the board in the draft. He is worth that.

But this is twice now and he needs ... something.

u/UsedandAbused87 Florida • Northwest Missouri… 7d ago

I was kind of joking. Like if you are a lineman youre probably not getting a lot of cash and you seen a dide making $1m and bloating. Might have some resentment. Hope thats not happening.

Our line isnt giving protection or opening lanes. It's not just Baugh, nobody is getting production

1

u/CripzyChiken Florida Gators • Team Meteor 7d ago

I mean I think most linemen would just want an All-you-can-eat pass to a couple restaurants around town....

But to me the o-line is the issue right now. They were the strength thru auburn and ol miss. and now I have no idea what happened. Can't tell if it is the play calls, schemes, skill or something else. But we look like a different team than who played auburn

1

u/UsedandAbused87 Florida • Northwest Missouri… 7d ago

Both lines. Our dbs aren't elite but when a qb can stand back and pick a team apart they will. Poor Philo is running for his life the second he gets the ball. DJ and the arm and running that would make teams stay back, he just didnt have accuracy

4

u/swamppuppy7043 Florida Gators 7d ago

Philo played like dogshit…

12

u/CripzyChiken Florida Gators • Team Meteor 7d ago

take the rose colored goggles off and tell me - outside of the pick - what's his fault?

THe shitty line? the dropped passes? lack of time in the pocket? the run game that wasnt? trying to put everyone on his back?

Philo showed up to play. You can blame a lot of guys - but not him.

7

u/Nightwing_04 Florida Gators 7d ago

Can’t and won’t throw the ball downfield. Why Baugh gets hammered by 8 man boxes on early downs

4

u/goldbloodedinthe404 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets • Corndog 7d ago

Harrison Moore was going to be benched here lol

3

u/swamppuppy7043 Florida Gators 7d ago

The horrific reads and bad passes would be a start. No one played well but he looked horrible. Maybe it looked different on tv but in person his reads and execution were dogshit.

2

u/swamppuppy7043 Florida Gators 7d ago

Also the run game gets blown up because they load the box as he’s incapable of reading coverages and getting the ball downfield.

1

u/beamerbeliever South Carolina Gamecocks 7d ago

Yeah, that QB was decent.  Our DBs were dialed and it let our DL show out, which is actually pretty talented but we've been getting torched through the air too quick for them to show out.

Edit: I didn't mean decent, he was good in the circumstances individually.

1

u/CripzyChiken Florida Gators • Team Meteor 7d ago

Agreed. Dude won't be drafted, but it isnt for lack of heart.

He played. He gave it all on the field. He needs support and didnt get it

Was last week a trap game or was Missouri just better

-1

u/CripzyChiken Florida Gators • Team Meteor 7d ago

last week - 100% trap... this week, idk

-6

u/Mail_Order_Lutefisk Alabama Crimson Tide 7d ago

Ain’t no easy weeks in the SEC. Leaving Vandy aside, the worst school in the SEC would be no worse than fourth in every other conference in the country. The conference is just stacked top to bottom. You guys just had a bad week and everything that could have gone right for them did. You ain’t gonna win in the SEC on days like this.

4

u/ReadEnvironmental179 7d ago

False. Auburn fan here. We are garbage anywhere

3

u/bama05 Alabama Crimson Tide 7d ago edited 7d ago

UGA, Texas, Bama are probably are very good. Ole Miss, LSU, Missouri are good.  Kentucky, Tennessee, Miss st, Florida are good ish. I wouldn't bet money on Auburn, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, TAMU against anybody except bottom feeders. And Arkansas is ass. So no it's not amazing top to bottom.

1

u/MastodonSwimming2681 Texas Tech • Northwestern 7d ago

Arkansas would struggle to finish 4th in the Sun Belt bozo

u/WiseDonkey593 Florida Gators • Pittsburgh Panthers 7d ago

I am not in on Sumrall. I'm so tired of "oh give him a chance to establish his culture with his players". I know there's no quick answer. I'm just so tired of being ass. I'm done.
