Guys I am starting to think Arch Manning might not be as good his uncles.

If the Mannings were just 2 brothers I don’t think their family would be viewed the same. It’s also his grandpa being a longtime starting QB in the league, and his dad being a highly touted prospect who was medically retired

Yeah by all accounts his dad probably was talented enough to have a career in college and possibly the NFL if he hadn't been injured.

medically retired

It's 2026, we say mentally challeneged now.

No, in 2026 we say he had spinal stenosis because that’s what he had you moron.

And as someone that just had surgery for spinal stenosis, let me tell you it's not walk in the park.

Lmfao I thought you were making a joke about CTE or something. Didn't know the guys spine was messed up like Mike Tyson or something lololol.

I've had 3 spinal fusions, backs can suck but I don't mind a joke about it.

I mean even if we are talking about spinal fusions or something isn't that what Manning had when he was on the bronco's? Or like him running and diving for plays in the playoffs I thought was the big thing years ago because the dude ha surgery on his neck or something. Either way, all of this to say Arch sucks compared to the rest of his family lol.

Maybe we wait and see how he does in the pros before saying a junior in college sucks compared to his uncles who won Super Bowls?

I don't remember Eli in college but Peyton I think at least did well in college? I get they both won Superbowls but not sure about the comparison for college is more or less what I'm making.

Explain what “play on words” you were going for because clearly all the downvotes didn’t get that either.

"Medically retired", you can't think what that could look like at a quick glance that we stopped saying 20 years ago?

u/lipp79 5d ago

I don't need to because I have common sense and even if I thought it was that at first, I wouldn't run to Reddit to make a joke about it which clearly didn't hit the way you intended it as evidenced by all the downvotes. You can still delete it.

I don't think you get jokes

1

u/lipp79 3d ago

Oh I get them when they're actually funny, not poor attempts at humor.

This comment highlights exactly why you don't get jokes and you never will. Good luck

Damn they did not like this one lol. I thought it was good

Maybe too young, or just jumped to the conclusion I was actually attacking the man and not just a little joke about how I first read the words since are close to the other older phrase.

Didn’t Eli or Peyton say they were faster than Cooper, and that the media kind of ran with the narrative of him being some prodigy that tragically couldn’t cut it

66

u/FloodedHoseBed Arizona State Sun Devils 7d ago

Faster? How could anyone be slower than Peyton?

30

u/icorrectstupidpeople 7d ago

Ah, the problem is that I am absolutely wrong and they said he was faster

13

u/ElChapo1515 7d ago

I’m like 95% sure he was a receiver

1

u/CodyRCantrell Oklahoma • Red River Shootout 6d ago

Well Peyton does have almost 700 rushing yards and 18 rushing TDs so there were some slower than him.

2

u/FloodedHoseBed Arizona State Sun Devils 3d ago

To be fair, if you break that down at 16 games a season for 17 seasons, that’s only 2.5 yards a game lmao. When you only rush 2.5 yards a game, it’s easy for the defense to forget about you and once a year you sneak in a little trick play for a tuddy lmao

He had spinal stenosis and had to medically retire.
