The BS of this game started bringing the Saban out of DeBoer like the Green Goblin alter ego. He was mad

Him chewing out Dijon Lee is I think the first time I’d seen him chew out a player on the field.

This is not the first time we’ve seen him furious with the refs, but he went NUCLEAR white-hot rage on the refs tonight, and for good reason. I didn’t think he had that level of anger in him.

I was hoping he was gonna fucking spank him.

He’s just not used to being told no

Blaming 4 for costing them the game with the personal foul late is real man child reaction. The loss is on the team and the coaches. 4 was a bonehead but if the coaches did better and the team executed better, it wouldn’t have mattered. I lost all respect for DeBore watching that

This reads like a copypasta… Am I being fooled or is a Tennessee fan just being a *Tennessee fan*?

Yeah we don’t claim this guy.

Haha fair enough, I genuinely read it as a copypasta at first because it’s such a stupid take

Bullshit. You’re just upset your team lost. You can’t think rationally. Blaming a single moment or person in a game for losing it in a team sport is asinine. Your coach is a big baby

I know reading isn’t your strong suit, but if you check the rest of this thread, there’s A LOT more at play that cost us this game. Idk why you think literally anyone is saying it came down to just that one stupid, selfish decision by Lee, but a coach is allowed to yell at their players.

u/Wizbran Tennessee Volunteers 6d ago

Your coach was on camera telling the player he just lost the game for them. Thats bullshit regardless of the player or coach. Are you so ignorant that you can’t even acknowledge it? Random messages on Reddit don’t change the fact that your coach lost his cool and is in the wrong for the reaction.

No, dipshit, if you used your all three of your brain cells to understand the context, he DID cost us the game there. He gave them a first down instead of allowing the defense to potentially get a third down stop to force a potential punt. Idk why I have to break that down to you, are you new to the sport?

Yeah, you’re a special kind of stupid. You do have an Alabama tag so I should have expected it. Go do your family bedroom time and leave us rational folks to normal life.

You are uninvited to my Super Bowl party

Typed it all up myself! Probably had a few more beers and minor heart attacks during our game today than anticipated though. I’ve just never been a fan of anyone blaming a single player/play for a loss in a team sport. It’s even worse when it’s the head coach who gets paid millions to be the bigger man.

Being the bigger man doesn’t mean allowing stuff like that to happen. A leader of men demands accountability amongst everybody and maintaining a standard. Coming down hard on a player after such a bonehead mistake is a valid response to drive home the expectations. Critical negative feedback in the moment is a staple of leadership. How you do it depends on your own style of leadership and how the individual involved responds to feedback. Typically composed KD came unglued but it’s not losing composure - it’s sending an intentional message to Lee

What? I disagree. I don’t want to coddle anyone and Deboer had every right to be upset and chew the kid out. Blaming him for losing the game is a different level. That’s a bullshit man child reaction

Well now they all get paid millions! You get a million and youuuu get a million, and youuu get a million!

You lost all respect for a coach because he... did what literally every other coach would have done?

Yes, the whole team is responsible for the overall result, but that game was still winnable until #4 pulled that BS. So yes, #4 drove the final nail in the coffin.

There are no coaches who would have just given him a pat on the ass after that.

This really doesn't matter but it was #5, Dijon Lee.

Number 4 is Luke Metz

0/10 troll attempt, though intentionally getting Lee's number wrong is a nice twist on a tired formula

“DeBore” was a nice touch as well. We got a real wise guy over here haha

Your coach is Bobby Hill so it could always be worse
