It’s amazing how much the offense opens up when the threat of a good passer exists. Jedd Fisch called a great game tonight, and putting up 38 points is what an offense is supposed to do against a bad defense, accounting for the 5 turnovers.

I hope Demond gets healthy and is able to be a good backup to Brown going forward, but he should never takes a snap for us again. It’s perfectly clear to everyone that Elijah Brown should be starting going forward.

Need to get the defense figured out though…

You can tell by the chemistry the guys were willing to battle for Brown than they did with Temu Kyler. Schedule is a bit up and down after the bye, but a bowl bid is obtainable.

Open field tackling is atrocious.

5 Turnovers is coachable (IMO).

Fisch did really well tonight. Much, much better than I thought he'd do.

Fisch has been limited by Demond's complete inability to see over the O-line. Completely takes away throws in the middle of the field which severely limits play calling. With no passing threat, the defense can key on the running game and I think that's why we haven't been able to run.

Until tonight. Brown looked great and the threat of a big pass was there all night, which in turn opened up the run game. 200 yards by Bonner and Cooley. Much needed confidence boost for the offense overall.

He’s just a shitty Kyler Murray

One was a freak bounce on a punt. Dylan Robinson needs to pay better attention but that situation won't happen often.

Two of Elijah's INTs looked like miscommunication with the route being run. On the second interception it looks like Lawson thought he was supposed to be blocking or running a rub. He certainly made zero attempt to fight for the ball. And on the third interception Naone cut his route short like he was adding a curl to his drag route, and Brown threw it as though he thought the drag route was continuing across the field. Those I hope will be cleared up as he gets more game experience with the offense.

The first interception and the fumble are the turnovers that have me worried. That first interception was just an underthrown ball in a situation where you cannot afford to underthrow it under any circumstance.

And the fumble was Cooley's fourth of the year. It's the first one he's lost but that is becoming a real problem for him any time he touches the ball.

Cooley also got hurt on that play, softy said he went to the locker room for xrays. Don't think we've heard his status

If he's out, that leaves the RB room as Bonner and some walkons

Demond is yet another cautionary tale of NIL. after the shit he pulled this summer I’m secretly glad to see him fail.

Not a secret anymore, but I'm with you

They never should have let him come back. You can’t contractually obligate someone to lead a team.

I think Demond can be a good RB for us

With Cooley going down tonight, we might need him there...

Your confidence in Brown is inspiring after 3 picks

I believe there was a stat, early in the 4th, that he was 17/19 with almost 300 yards and 3 TD’s. Pretty good imo.

The first two picks were bad, sure, the last one I don’t put on Brown. The receiver didn’t get his head around in time.

First one wasnt even that bad, it was a good decision he just underthrew it

I dont know about the quality of the playcall but i feel like its so easy to under/overthrow a ball like that on the first snap of the game, too.

A Barry Odom defense once did the same shit to Jaxson Dart, it happens

Edit: it was Matt Corral, but still, bad nights happen
