Minnesota won by 3 at Washingon, then lost by 38 at Purdue.

Based on the scores going into tonight one would expect Purdue to win by at least 41; that turned out to be off by a small matter of 53 points, resulting in a very neat circle of suck.

The explanation is pretty easy, though: the only thing consistent about mediocre teams of young men in their late teens and early twenties is their week to week inconsistency.

Our starting QB, Demond Williams, is absolutely terrible. He was injured in our last game and our backup is now starting and he's head and shoulders better. We would likely have beat Minnesota and USC with our backup.

It’s pretty funny the school could have just let Demond transfer and probably avoided this disaster of a start to the season.

Ugh, well I really dislike Jedd Fisch so I'll agree it is kind of funny. Definitely a lesson for every program out there, but I'm really shocked that the adults in charge at UW needed to learn it the hard way because a whole lot of us saw it coming.
