Video [Highlight] Florida @ #7 Texas: Florida recovers the Arch Manning fumble in the last two minutes!

As a Texas hater, I’m really concerned Arch will declare for the draft.

Okay Arch is horrible but that was the slowest fumble recovery attempt ever by 74. Bro literally just stood there and looked at the ball on the ground, wow.

You have to just jump on that immediately.

Arch Manning is not a 1st round pick
He's not even a day 2 pick.
67
u/ilovecatss1010 Florida Gators • Arizona Wildcats 2h ago
He will 1000% be a first round pick and 10000% get an entire front office fired.

That fired front office will be the scape goat for the Owner making that pick too.

this exact thing was said about Shadeur. It did not happen.
19
u/ilovecatss1010 Florida Gators • Arizona Wildcats 1h ago
Shadeur had nowhere near the hype of Arch, at any point. Shadeur also went to the Browns and frankly wasn’t expected to be their savior from day 1.
The 2 situations aren’t even remotely comparable besides “they’re both from famous football families”
15
u/Aless_Motta 1h ago
Sanders had one of the worst predraft "campaigns" ever, every interview he did was terrible and he didnt care at all, teams dropped him from their board because of his attitude.
Manning will be prepared for the interviews and i guarantee he will look better for the teams in the NFL, basically the less he plays and the more time it passes, his draft stock rises, the more he plays, the more it drops.
28
u/Pangolin_cowboy_hats Baylor Bears 2h ago
He’ll be lucky to start for the Calgary Stampeders at this rate
24
u/YourBarelyWetSock Florida Gators 2h ago
Nah some NFL team will absolutely take a shot at him with a day 3 pick. Unfortunately that name guarantees at least a few years on a practice squad.

For decades, schools would create and pay for PR campaigns in favor of their candidate/player.

The thing that should set Manning apart from every other QB in his class is his understanding of the game, given his background. He got to pick the brains of Archie, Payton and Eli from the moment he left the womb. Yet every week he just does the most baffling thing.

We have more wins than last year. Nobody going into this seasoning expected us to do excellent and make the playoffs. It wasn't until a super hot start to the season everyone was suddenly on a hype train. We're doing fine. Sure our losses are bit different than expected going into the season, but our wins are too. We expected to lose to Ole miss and Texas and beat Missouri and scar. I don't have a problem with flipping that lol.

And he had plenty of time to secure that ball so that he wouldn't fumble, yet he still held it out enough from him that the collision with the OL knocked the ball out.

Announcer just pointed out the wide open receiver right in his line of vision. He’s just not a great QB
18
u/bretticus733 Boise State Broncos 2h ago
Whichever GM picks him in the draft is going to get fired. At this point, he's had enough starts and experience that we should be routinely seeing him play like a future NFL QB, and he's playing like a CFL QB at best

He’s got one of the best OL in college. He’s just terrible at making quick reads and also layering throws.
I kinda thought Texas run game would be a lot better but Arch has not help the team be balanced at all.
I’ve said it in a few spots, but Sark has been coaching this kid way to soft.
10
u/Narrow-Paramedic4051 LSU Tigers • Tulane Green Wave 1h ago
Can't make a fast read, zero touch on the ball, holds the ball too long, and look how shit he is throwing left (Source is On3). Calling that nepo average is a compliment.
- Outside the left hash: 44% accuracy, 58% adjusted completion, 27% uncatchable.
- All other throws: 57% accuracy, 69% adjusted completion, 22% uncatchable.

Yes the line has been bad but Arch also isn’t just taking the throws the defense is giving him. He keeps looking for the bigger plays and holds the ball too much knowing the line play isn’t good.
