I will never understand what the leadership of MSU's athletic program has been doing for the last 10 years.

Idiotic decision after idiotic decision. Tucker, smith, fitz - all mediocre (at best) head coaches from mediocre (at best) programs. As if our leadership thought it would be easier for them to win here? No $ commitment to recruiting top players. What do you expect? It's like they're aiming for the middle. And then miss.

The new AD emailed the entire fanbase a few weeks ago, basically apologizing for the miserable state of the football program.

I want to say I hope things soon change. But "hope" would imply I'm at least a little optimistic that it might happen. I'm not. Gonna go add a backup flair so I can post something positive in r/cfb once in a while.

Fitzgerald was a panic hire as you weren’t going to get one of your top options. You probably would have been better off keeping Smith for another year and just throw away this year and got a head start on this years cycle.

I think he should be one and done but I really don’t think they are going to fire their third coach in four years.

Also probably stings that they could have hired Cignetti, but instead hired Jonathan Smith. And then could have hired Chesney, but instead hired Fitz.

I know it certainly stings that we had that clown Warde hiring first Moore and then Whittingham.

Rare when at least one of Michigan/MSU isn't good, but we are both complete ass. But for the fact that we play each other, I'm not sure that either of us would otherwise win another game this year.
