Arch Manning is easily the most overhyped QB of all time. But somthing still tells me some GM is gonna take him in the first round and two seasons later get fired because of it
Yeah, Tebow was one of the best college players of all time regardless of how his pro career turned out (And his pro career wasn't as much of a flop as the Terrell Pryor/Johnny Manziel's of the world)
Tebows a great example of how playing in the NFL is actually like really really fucking hard. That feels like an obvious statement but I think we forget sometimes when we see guys burn out in it. It doesnt necessarily mean theyre bad, theres just levels to this shit
As a Patriots fan, Tebow walking off the Steelers on a fucking slant was pure poetry. Fucking curbstomping the Broncos the next week was just the cherry on top

I think he should have stuck around a little bit more.
Tebow was amazing in college but there have been plenty of QBs that were awesome in college that couldn’t play at an NFL level. Another Florida QB, Danny Wuerffel, comes to mind.
Heisman finalist Gator QB Kyle Trask, who across 12 games in 2020 accrued just under 4300 yards passing (68.9% completions) and 43 TDs against 8 INTs (180.0 rating), with only the 96th ranked rushing attack to pull the pressure off the passing game, has thrown 4 regular season passes since joining the NFL in 2021 :/
I still really wish he'd gotten a real shot to play at that level, though. He's never been a practice warrior. He was a 2* backup all throughout high school and never started. His high school coach said that Trask was an incredible talent, but their other QB (D'Eriq King) was a better fit for their offense. Then McElwain and Nuss took a chance on him and brought him to Florida with no other p5 offers. He was a backup at Florida who looked mediocre in limited playing time until Feleipe Franks got hurt, Trask unexpectedly got thrown into the starting role, and he became amazing. He's the type of guy who doesn't really show out in practice but thrives under the lights.
Hell yeah. We love that about college football though. Guys balling out at QB that have no business starting at the D1 level. But they're tough as hell. Stockton comes to mind.
He wasn’t the starter on one of the natty’s. Chris Leak was the senior starter in 2006. Tebow was a goal line gimmick QB his freshman year. Tebow contributed but they don’t win the title that year without Leak.
If he stays in college, I feel like Sark will try to keep him. There are plenty of times Sark could have switched out QBs, but he has yet to do so. There’s a sunk cost thing going on with him that I don’t understand.
As long as there is a 1% chance of Arch taking Texas to a natty, Sark has a long leash. Doesn’t matter how improbable it seems or how bad he looks, hope springs eternal for the fanbase.
Another loss and we’ll need a bunch of chaos to get in. Two more losses and the question is essentially answered. Either way it’s answered by the end of this season and then Sark has to start answering questions about the future. He probably doesn’t have those answers and as soon as he benches Arch, the questions start pouring in.
In fairness, he shows flashes of potential that will make NFL scouts' eyes light up and GMs will definitely want to draft him based off the potential and the last name.
But between those flashes where he looks like an elite QB, he is straight up ass.
He needs to sit for a couple years behind a vet QB first. Less talented guys have made it doing that. Unfortunately, not many vets who are near retirement anymore
Pissed me off so bad two years ago when Quinn got hurt and the fanbase split into team Quinn and team Arch. Half the fan base made Quinn feel like shit and for what? This guy? Personally I was team Quinn, at least I felt like I could trust his judgment. Led the team to two CFP semifinal games and got double middle fingers by so many on his way out.
Maybe if he’d stuck around another year we would have known for sure that Arch just isn’t good. It’s time for next man up.
