Lol, but in all seriousness, it's a 1970 S, grease strike? There's damage on other parts of the coin but the date doesn't appear to have been ground or anything. It's a little dirty but is this a genuine stroke through grease error?

So im wondering are these the, In god we rust or is there to much T? A 1972 grease error or damage its really worn, Spitting horse and extra leaf errors

Has anyone ever actually found a Cheerios dollar in circulation?

I had one of them in my possession as a kid that my mom gave to me. No idea what I did with it but at the time, I probably broke it out of the package to buy a gas station burrito.

A couple of NIFC dollars. Some doe chip quarters. I got an unopened roll of 2008 Oklahoma state quarters, and found 2 with a die crack. A silver Rosie. One with a die crack in the head. Some with die chips. And some old nickels.

It’s flush with the surface , the lighter part caught my eye and once I saw the over all shape I found my microscope to get closer. It is mostly I. The bird side but I could be losing it. I see two stars two “de” the other one is to the left, roated state shape and two beaks, but the other beak isn’t rotated? There’s also an “AH” opposite to where Idaho would be. And an excess E at the end of EPU. (I’m going through some coins for a friend and I’m at a loss, it’s been days, I smell like Pennie’s)

Not in the best shape. But still very stoked.

I normally don't post my finds but i thought to put this one up.
Had over a dozen scores on one box and the last silver i pulled was this one.

Seems like it is harder now to get full boxes of coins from the banks.

I have started going to the drive through and getting 3-5 rolls at a time.

Seem to be more variety.

So....im having more fun and luck buying random rolls

2 war nickels, one buffalo, a 1960 proof (-like?), and a canada on the last roll, also what felt like more pre-64’s than average and north of 10 2008’s, i lost count. Goddamn i’m hooked on this silly hobby.

Wife stopped by the bank and picked these up for me. A bit disappointed when I saw what they gave her. Should I go ahead and double check someone else’s hunt?

Update: Went through 20 rolls ($200). Definitely no silver, no NIFC. Not gonna go through the whole box. My credit union is gonna end up with them over the next couple of months.

I asked the bank teller today if he had any halfs. He said he only had 7. I almost didn’t take them but these were the 7.

The remainder are pre 1960. I try to collect a roll of each. Year from that time as we near the century mark for those years. GOOD luck.

Turning in a box of “$500” worth of 50¢ pieces to the bank that you had “laying around” is shitty enough. Rolling 19 coins or less in each $10 roll is super shitty and I hope karma catches up with you, you slimy piece of shit!

I had the opportunity to search one box of quarters this weekend. The box I received was mixed.

I ended up pulling out 3 small r/errorquarters through the hunt, and on literally the last roll, half way through I found a W!

For the past few years, I've been buying these dimes... all 1964 or earlier. What do you think? Do I open these babies?

Has anyone found one in a box from the Denver mint? I got two boxes of brand new 2026 half dollars from my bank, all mint marked D. Is it worth it going through these boxes to search for one or were the W coins only mixed with Philadelphia mint half dollars?

Got a box of halves and a box of dimes. Got skunked on the dimes, but did pull four silvers out of the halves.

Stopped by a branch on the way home. They had $90 in half dollars. Only had $40 in this bank and a $10 bill in my wallet. Got 5 rolls and 4 of them each had a 1968 40%er in them.

I’ve rolled the others up and added a few to replace these so I can swap em for $10 bills tomorrow. Going to be first in line at that branch Monday morning for the rest of them!

Stopped by another branch after and they said a coin collector came in and took all the halves I’ve already searched through and dumped there.

I think I’ll take some more rolls and write “90% silver” on them. Poor chap will open em up and just find clad 😂 Yes I know that’s pure evil, but I used to work at this branch, this is my turf 😤
