Brand new CT5V Blackwing leather replacement looks terrible.
I picked up my 2026 CT5V Blacking typhoon / tan a few months ago. I love the drive. It came with some creases on the brand new leather. Dealer said give it a few months of wear / heat and it will go away. Well, it didn't instead it got worse. So I came back, dealer requested new leather bottom covers from Cadillac and GM approved. This is how I picked up my car today. I cannot believe this is acceptable on ANY new car let alone a 100k+ new car and specifically a car I paid 8,000 dollars for this specific leather option. I spoke to the service manager, he took it back and said they will work on it some more but this is normal for leather replacements and he doesn't think there will be a significant improvement with a heat gun. He says the leather attachments are not modifiable and he has seen this before. He does not have any other recommendations. I am completely disheartened by this and I do not want the car back like this. I am not being picky this is ridiculous. If they can't fix it (and they don't think they can), I guess I will pay for a automotive upholstery shop to fix this out of my pocket, which won't be cheap. But it will be my last GM product. There is zero chance an M5 or E63 comes new with leather creases or leaves the shop like this after replacement.

Old School one
Found in my maternal grandmother (1926 - 2010) photos. No clue who the guy is or what year or model this is. Thought I would post.

One wasn’t enough!
I first bought a 2025 Cadillac Optiq but have always wanted a ct6, so I bought a 2019 Cadillac CT6! Went from driving Mercedes to Cadillac’s!

Does anyone actually use their Escalade as a family vehicle?
I am very fortunate in my life where I am able to afford to operate a 2023 Escalade ESV Sport. I purchased it since I despise minivans. I have a 7 months old boy and one more coming! If the new model arrives in 2028, I want the air suspension to load/unload a car seater easier this time around… The reason why I didn’t get the Platinum trim were due to the rear entertainment screens and reliability issue with the air suspension…

CTS
So im about to buy this 2006 Cadillac CTS with the 3.6L V6 engine with 134,000 miles on it, and want to know if im making a good purchase as i know little about cars. So the seller just replaced the timing chain and water pump. Besdies that he says nothing was wrong with it. It has one small rust spot by rear wheel, interior is in good condition and no body damage. He wants 3K. Anything in particular I should ask seller or look out for before i buy this? Any pointers would help! Thanks everyone.

My '16 XTS Platinum
2nd owner, 67k miles, purchased a couple months ago. Quietest and nicest car I've owned. I miss my 2018 Mustang GT Premium Convertible, but this car is much more cozy.

The nightmare was almost over
7.5 months later, she was finally ready to be taken home. About 9 miles away, check engine light came on. Absolutely gutted. Went straight back to dealership. 4 codes triggered.
This has been a horrific experience

I’m pretty sure this is a 1962 convertible Cadillac. It’s absolutely amazing. Every time I drive by it just makes me smile.

It’s 57k miles was stolen in 2021 has brand new 416 motor confirmed by the shop and built manual transmission and clutch the whole drive line is basically new. It does have some missing tabs near the headlights causing a gap and few lil chips on the hood and curb rash. I offered him 33750 from 40000 and the car fax on the car is honestly rather ass but it has new engine and everything.

ATS Trunk Dimensions
Can anyone give me accurate dimensions for an ATS trunk. Between the wheel wells and depth.
I’m a mobile massage therapist looking to see if I can fit a massage table in the trunk.

2026 Cadillac ct5 v blackwing
My car has 2619 miles
I have had my spirted fun post break in. Never went for a top speed run yet. And the engine seized. Dealership is preparing me to be shafted on a warranty claim for a new engine.
I just PPF’ed the car too
Anyone else having engine problems in their brand new blackwing?

XTS Platinum - Bent polished aluminum wheel
I took my car in to have the tires rotated and balanced at Discount Tire. Tech comes out and tells me one of the wheels (rims) is bent as he noticed it immediately, I had him put in on the rear of my 2013 XTS Platinum with only 83K miles. (Love or hate them, I've dealt with the same one for over 25 years, excellent service and support.)
Have any of you dealt with taking a bent polished aluminum wheel to a shop where (they claim) they can straighten and balance the rim? What was your success with the wheel remaining round and in balance? How did it look cosmetically after straightening? I'm in Dallas, TX for any recommendations.

09 sts 4.6L cylinder 7 is giving me this compression of about 30 with the fuel pump fuse out. And then with the fuel pump back on it was no difference. The other cylinder by it was giving me 90 - 120 psi. Am I looking at buying a new car?

It has a new spark plug with no oil inside. It has a new ignition coil. The fuel injector works (its ticking)

Replacing vacuum pump
My brake went stiff and my car wasn’t stopping and I brought it to the mechanic I usually go to for repairs and they told me I had a bad vacuum pump and the price was money I don’t have right now. So I made the decision to get the car towed so I could just try to do it myself.
I followed some tutorials and took out my wipers, wiper motor, and the trim. I got two of the bolts off the vacuum pump but I really cannot reach the third one no matter what I try. I’ve been trying to figure out the tool that everyone is using to get to the final bolt but I can’t find quite the right thing…I feel so dumb.
I’m exhausted from working on this for like 4 days after work everyday and then being up till like 5-6am and getting like an hour and a half of sleep before heading to work again. I feel like I’m losing my sanity. Someone please help me find the tool 😭

ATS headlight bulb replacement
I have a 2016 ATS and i just recently replaced the headlight bulb. Problem is that it won’t turn on even though i’ve checked the fuse and connections. The other one is working fine, but idk what could be the problem. My blinkers and other lights work it’s just the headlight bulb.

A Grand Rapids Road Tradition: Remembering the "Cadillac-Lincoln Thumbs Up"
I wanted to share a quick story about a wonderful piece of local road folklore right here in Grand Rapids that some of you might remember or have even experienced yourself.
Back in 1996, a man named Mark Frazine (whom some of you might know as "Mark Freezin") started a silent road tradition entirely his own on the streets of Grand Rapids. Mark always had a deep admiration for the character, class, and respectability of the folks who chose to drive classic American luxury cars—specifically Cadillacs and Lincolns. He felt that the people behind the wheel of those vehicles were stand-up, respectful individuals who brought a sense of traditional pride to our West Michigan community.
To show his appreciation, whenever a Cadillac or a Lincoln crossed his path, Mark would catch the driver's eye and proudly offer a firm, genuine thumbs up. It wasn't about flash; it was just his way of saying, "I see you, I respect you, and thank you for keeping it classy."
What started as a personal habit grew into a beautiful grassroots tradition of spreading goodwill and old-school respect on our local roads.
The Code of the Road: A Tribute to Mark Frazine's "Cadillac-Lincoln Thumbs Up"
In 1996, the open road of Grand Rapids, Michigan was filled with the heavy, quiet elegance of classic American luxury. It was an era of long hoods, chrome grilles, and smooth rides—dominated by two legendary names: Cadillac and Lincoln. For most people, these cars were just symbols of status. But for Mark Frazine, they represented something much deeper: character, dignity, and a standard of class.
Mark believed that the people behind the wheels of these iconic vehicles weren't just drivers; they were stand-up, respectful individuals who brought a sense of traditional pride to the community. He felt that in a fast-moving world, the decency and elegance these drivers represented deserved to be recognized.
So, in 1996, Mark started a silent tradition entirely his own.
Whenever a Fleetwood, a Town Car, a DeVille, or a Continental crossed his path on a local Grand Rapids street or highway, Mark would catch the driver's eye and proudly offer a firm, genuine thumbs up. It wasn't about flash, and it wasn't a joke—it was a pure handshake from a distance. It was his way of saying, "I see you, I respect you, and thank you for keeping it classy."
What began as a personal habit grew into a beautiful piece of grassroots West Michigan road folklore. To the drivers who received it, that simple gesture from Mark was a sudden spark of validation—a reminder that old-school respect wasn't dead. Mark didn't need a billboard or a massive organization to spread goodwill; he just used a simple, universal sign of approval to elevate the day of anyone driving America's finest steel.
Today, we honor Mark Frazine's "Cadillac-Lincoln Thumbs Up"—a reminder that true class is worth acknowledging, and that a small act of respect can leave a lasting tire track on the hearts of many.
Did anyone else ever receive a thumbs up from Mark out on the road around Grand Rapids, or remember seeing him do this? Would love to hear your memories!

Super Cruise
Looking at a Lyriq for my older mom. How good is the Super Cruise? Is it anything close to TeslaFSD? She is 82, doing ok driving but I’m starting to notice some things. She’s open to the idea which is good and I’m thinking it could keep
her safe and driving much longer than I’d probably accept otherwise.
We are in a very small rural town so mostly her driving is to church, meeting friends for lunch and grocery store. Nothing too much.
Or is Super Cruise just a better form of lane assist and not at all to be used point to point?

Key FOB not working
2015 Cadillac CTS 2.0T Bought about a year ago from an auction sale. Came with 1 aftermarket key fob. About 3 weeks ago, key fob stopped locking/unlocking car. Remote start not working. Car only unlocks when standing directly next to it, using outdoor button handles. Changed out the battery in key fob. Still not working. Car does recognizes key fob for push to start and even when I leave the key in the car.
NOTE: About a year ago, when I got the car - took it to the GM dealership for a “check up” see what was up with it. I did get a bunch of U Codes - some for the ECM.
What could be wrong? Is it the transmitter not receiving signal?

Went with a rear conversion kit after being quoted over $4,000 for new air ride ....
Got quoted over $4,000 to replace the rear air shocks , unfortunately I didnt have that to put in this vehicle at this time , so i did some research and found a conversion kit for under $300 that came with coil springs, shocks and a module to trick the system into thinking the air ride is still there , just pulled the fuse for the compressor (even though it wasnt working) just to be safe , it rode really rough on the blown air ride , so this is a major improvement, the vehicle is now higher in the rear like its supposed to be , and even the acceleration and handling has improved , glides over pot holes and just feels so much more solid and safe all together now .
