2023 CT5 Issue
Question for everybody here:
I bought a 2023 CT5 AWD last week and all was fine for the first few days. Starting yesterday I've been experiencing hard downshifts specifically when accelerating lightly between 7 and 6. I have been able to fully replicate it. It does not happen when not accelerating. The jerk is also worse or better depending on how much I'm accelerating when it downshifts. It can be anywhere from a light bump to a hard jerk.
Any ideas beyond the obvious? I am taking it to CarMax tomorrow morning to have them look at it again.

My bet is that since the 10-speed has the 7th gear at 1:1 ratio, shifting out of it while accelerating is a bit bumpy. Same happens on my 23 CT4-V AWD.

Buy or borrow an OBD-II code reader, see if there are any transmission codes.
I had the valve body replaced on my 2023 CT4-V (same 10-speed transmission) under warranty for a similar issue.

Yes it’s the transmission…I have a 23 as well and had the whole transmission replaced after a lot of back and forth and numerous trips to dealerships mine started having problems around 15k miles and was replaced at around 23k miles…definitely noticed most of my shifting issues at lower speeds and when accelerating
