Tech Support Samsung L100 (8.2 mega pix) screen is blurry?

Post image

Hey guys, I recently found an old digital camera that wasn’t turning on unless it was plugged into a charger. I assumed the battery was dead, so I ordered a new one. The new battery came in and the camera powers on fine now, but now everything on screen looks super blurry. Does anyone know how to fix the focus issue or what might be the problem???

Another thing is when I see the menu it’s perfectly fine…

EDIT: I gave it a few smacks but nothing changes. It also dies out quickly?? Even tho I gave it a new battery

toss it in the trash

if u want tiny... buy a new Canon ELPH at Canon USA Refurbished

digital cameras... especially compact cameras... are not like a bottle of fine wine. they are not 'vintage'... they are more like old milk... well past their expiration date.

usually that just means the camera isnt focused? have you tried pressing the focus button? do you have a lens? does it need a lens? is there stuff on the sensor or lens?

the screen just shows a timestamp from 2010, that thing’s probably been sitting in a drawer forever. if the menu looks crisp but the live view is a blurry mess, it’s almost always the lens mechanism acting up. i had a similar old point-and-shoot where the focus motor got stuck from years of not moving, i gave it a couple light taps on the side and it jolted back to life. try that or see if you hear any grinding when it powers on

Focus motor is broken, the camera is showing you an out of focus image because it cant get the motor to work to focus on anything. Camera is sitting there trying and trying to get the motor to work to find focus, killing the battery faster than normal. The camera is effectively dead.
