Coop opportunities in China

Hello! I'm a third year civil engineering student from Nova Scotia, Canada and I'm interested in trying to get a coop opportunity in Beijing, China. My coop term starts this coming summer.

I'm not sure what is the best way to go about or if this is even a viable endeavor. I've been trying to learn a little bit of mandarin but I haven't been very good. I can speak English, French and Spanish but not much luck on Mandarin so that's probably another aspect that would hinder my search.

If you guys have any tips or ideas, I'd be happy to hear!

说实话，我不建议你来中国实习。因为中国的房地产行业最近几年的情况非常糟糕，而土木工程是与房地产行业高度相关的专业。很多中国的名牌大学，比如同济大学和东南大学的土木工程录取分数线都降低了。目前，很多中国的土木工程专业毕业生都很难找到合适的工作。 综上，我建议你谨慎考虑来中国寻找有关土木工程的工作。

China is currently experiencing a real estate bubble. You have better development opportunities elsewhere. Even if there are opportunities in China, the salaries are very low, and the work is very tiring.
