CW: Sensitive Topic How Do i stay encourage?

For some weird feeling, i think there is a spiritual block over my life. I cannot seem to move forward in my relationships, in life and in my finances. Everything seems hard for me. I know I am not the only one struggling and the plans I may have for my life is not what God may have for me.

But Genuinely, these thoughts of giving up is getting louder, and everyday feels like a struggle to continue. I have had to be strong ever since I was a child. I have had to over come poverty, sexual assault and harassment, family abuse physically and mentally.

Now as an Adult, it feels like it is a never ending cycle. Now, I believe in GOD but it seems like things have not yet shifted for me for years. No progress, I often feel like I am talking 10 steps back every time I take one step forward.

As an adult who's gone through some of the same things you did in childhood. I understand things can be difficult. However, you need to remember that God is always with you. Yes, sometimes it does seem like one. Step forward, 2 steps back. No one ever said this was going to be easy. Take a lesson from some of the most famous characters in the Bible. And their difficulties that we're not solved quickly yet. God was with them. Look at Joseph, for example, joseph's trouble started when he was 17 and things were not solved for another 20 years. Yet the Bible tells us that God was with him helping him. He is there a with us too. I know sometimes it doesn't feel like it. My best suggestion would be make sure you join a church community who can encourage you Make sure you spend time in his word every day. Try looking up something called the soap method. It's a quick and easy, Bible study method that may help. And finally, try to shift your perspective. It's easy in the darkness to focus on darkness, but there is light, and there are things God is doing, even if it's something as simple as god woke me up today. That's a good thing. Look at the beauty around you. And what God is doing for you shift your perspective. Things should start getting better

Habakkuk 2. Write the vision, make it plain and it says though it tarries, wait for it. Delay is not denial. I stewarded a vision for over a decade before rooms started opening. Stay encouraged is not a feeling, it's a decision you make daily. Keep going.

It's good to believe in God. But that's not enough to be justified and adopted into God's family.

We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Have to repented of your sin and put your faith and trust in Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and the salvation of your soul?

No one said I was unsaved. You can be a Christian and still go through hardship. This post is about finding helpful tools to remain encouraged through the faith.

It's important to verify these things because if you don't mention it in your post then we have no way of knowing what you believe

My advice would be different to an unsaved person

So, to confirm, have you repented of your sin and put your faith in Christ for forgiveness?

I think a lot of it is perspective, if I think back to when I get into this slumps! I can say over the years, what has helped is keeping around like-minded people that you can praise God with and share about your blessings and your struggles too. And to have accountability if you're truly just having a pity party for yourself!! Having the time to ruminate on the struggles can really cause setbacks. And we all have them....I get it. Also I am a firm believer that in the world today, where medication is a quick fix for everything....just be cautious of that trap and consider any alternatives along with your medical team!! I have 100% felt more connected spiritually when I quit taking my birth control pills...and I have heard of the same with people that take other medications too. Some medications that treat hormonal or neurological symptoms can cause emotional blunting. And it can keep relationships from progressing, including with God! And it's not something you realize in the thick of things. I think it's sometimes related to your pineal gland- do some research...may sound hokey but I promise you'll easily find info. on this!

Wanna know one of my favorite fun facts about the Bible?

When you search the greek and hebrew, the command "believe" is outnumbered by the command "remember" by 5 to 1. For every five times you're told to "remember", only once you're told to "believe." Weird right? You'd think since the Bible is about faith in God, "believe" would be higher up. Turns out that's not how God, or humans, work.

It's hard to be encouraged. Honestly I don't think there's much encouragement to be had. Money's getting harder to come by, food and gas keep costing more and more, and to be honest I'm not sure what life is going to look like this time next year. Am I worried? kinda, yes. But I'm not dreading it. Why, because I believe? No, because I remember. God's brought me this far.

Hey man, that weight you're carrying sounds incredibly heavy. Being strong since childhood and still feeling stuck in the same cycles now as an adult, that would wear anyone down to the bone.

The spiritual block you mentioned is something I've wrestled with too. Sometimes when you've been in survival mode your whole life, it's hard to even recognize what forward movement looks like. You're so used to just getting through the day that progress feels invisible.

What helped me was shifting from asking God to fix the big picture to just asking for one small thing each morning. A moment of peace, a five minute break from the heaviness, one conversation that doesn't drain me. The big shift never came, but those tiny ones started adding up in ways I didn't notice until months later.

You're not wrong for feeling like it's never ending. Anyone who's been through what you've been through would feel that way.
