Silver Surfer # 2
Spare a grade? We are debating between a 5 to a 7 cover has a beautiful look to it for being so old and purple.

What are your thoughts on buying a major Silver Age key that’s priced at a slight discount since it’s a UK Price variant?
Some collectors like them due to rarity; others would prefer the 12¢ originals. This results in a decrease in liquidity.
Curious what the folks in this community think or have experienced. Would you buy a UK variant? Have you tried to sell?

Have fun and enjoy because at some point there are no more chairs to sit down on

Ocasionallly on EBay I’ll run into a “buy it now” that has me going “isn’t that a lot more??”
I bought a copy of a beat up Flash issue that was the second Superman-Flash race for $13 with shipping.
it actually came with three others but they were garbage.
AFTER I bought it I saw it’s not actually worth much more because of how beat up it is
but my q stands. This Q is mostly for personal collection buyers

Also will buyers lose their money when’s the shows over or will it go up even more?

So I've never submitted a comic for grading before and I'm considering sending this in for the CGC signing event with Snyder and Dragotta. This would be for my collection, so while the grade doesn't really matter, I'm just curious.
I checked the book, and to my eye the books corners and inners are pristine, but this spine has some imperfections. Assuming the rest of the book is immaculate, how adversely would the spine affect the grade? Thanks for your insights!

Just started getting into comic book collecting through a friend and found this gem at goodwill. After some research, I realized what I had, but now im terrified to try to take the sticker off.
Copy seems really clean, and thinking of submitting to CGC. Any thoughts or recommendations to getting the sticker off?

I’m well aware Invincible is a hot series, popular show, etc. But a random issue for 4-7k? These are the last 3 sold in 9.8 on eBay…. Really?

Would this benefit from cracking, and doing a clean and press for a regrade? It’s 9.2…I’m thinking yeah but I wanted other opinions.

I loved TFAW's ordering system! I know most online shops are using Shopify or something similar and are bound by order, meaning if I make an pre-order and items cross multiple release dates, i had to wait for all items to release for my stuff to ship. TFAW's system allowed for pre-order books to ship on release date regardless.
Anyone else use TFAW and miss it?

….it being the worst season to do so?
Myself I can’t help it
Edit: I see that the mania has spread to marvel's 70's near-softcore Horror black and white magazines.
As well it should.

Quiero comprarme este número, pero como puedo verificar si es real o pirata, a partir de las imágenes que me da
¿hay algún detalle que pueda delatar la originalidad?
(la imagen me la encontré en internet, no es el que me venden)

Bought a shipment from comic shop and it came with the same issue as the one in the picture. So I sent them back and ordered from a different store. One that bads and boards their books as standard. So imagine my face when they turn up looking slightly better than the original stores.
Looked online and a lot of people are seeing this common defect. So how will it impact grading?

This my collection from the mid 80s. Nearly everything has been bagged since about 1990. Some have acid free boards too. This is the list of books that I made back in high school.
I understand that grading is what matters, but how do you decide which to grade? And where? I live in the DC area if that helps.

Hi everyone, I’m just starting out in comic collecting and got this from a friend as a gift. Trying to understand why it seems it might be so valuable online? What am I missing? Thanks!

Hello, going through dads collection and it’s kinda tough to figure out what these are and or how to find similar comics. I just use eBay for the others (non auto). And it’s easy to find through sold listing filter on eBay. But these, have no idea what I’m looking at. Thanks for any help/info you can provide

I submitted these comics to Heritage, and they said they were all mid-grade and wouldn't accept them. What is the best platform to sell them on?
Also, what grade would you suggest for some of these? Will they not sell?

Amazing Fantasy #15 with no cover but all other pages inside. Im not in the comic book space but part of me wonders if grading would be a good idea. Or just get my own case and keep a bit of amazing lore.
Im like 90% sure its the original too and not a reprint but let me know!

Every week I go through the full FOC list to see what the upcoming order week actually looks like before cutoff closes. Here is what I'm seeing for October 19.
636 total titles, 258 unique books. Dynamite leads the volume at 79 titles, with DC at 69, Image at 68, and Marvel at 63 close behind. BOOM! and Yen Press round out the top six at 46 and 40.
107 variants and 102 ratios run across the slate. The incentive covers concentrate at Dynamite (24), Boom! (15), and Marvel (13). Image's Chainkata #1 from Daniel Warren Johnson holds the single steepest ratio at 1:1000, the only book at that tier, and a 40-page premiere with no ads. Swamp Thing Is Killing The Children #1 from Boom! carries the highest variant count of the week at 16 covers.
36 of the 258 unique books are new #1s, about 14 percent. Marvel has four launches, led by Jean Grey #1 out of DNX, with Amazing Spider-Man #1004 and the Fire And Brimstone miniseries on the Spidey side. Image has one launch, Chainkata #1. DC has zero. The DC slate runs entirely on ongoing chapters this week: Action Comics #1104 continues the Lex Luthor: Year One story, and Emperor Aquaman #23 rolls the Tidal War into part three.
Among the Big 3, Marvel has 4 new #1s and DC has 0.
Searches for Daniel Warren Johnson are up 250 percent on Google Trends over the past week. He writes and draws Chainkata #1.

Anything interesting? They were in these boxes and I didn’t really know what to look for. I grabbed those 34 randoms for $50

Spare a grade? My son and I were going through my late brothers collection and were debating if this is worth sending to cgc and pressing.
