How

Nothing much I think , I had a good history with sbi. Mom regularly transferred my pocket money, college fees etc. into this account.

Now I have got a job , I will try to upgrade it.

Use for Instant Discounts. If you are not getting a savings of more than 1000 from this card in a year, upgrade to better SBI cards like cashback card and close simply.

You could have opted for Visa for visa offers. Not much with MC

Why close it? This can be used during amazon sales since SBI cashback is excluded.

1

u/Calamitychaos_ 7h ago

As I already mentioned, close it only if savings are below 1000 annually considering the card has an annual fee of around 600.

Don't forget to get the visa poshvine offer.

Best use of this card is for instant discounts on online sales

First CC enjoy using it to Manage Your Payments by using this as a Channel to pay. Nothing else..

If you buy during the Amazon Great Indian sale or Big Billion day, you get good offers. But they are not this card specific.

My father have this card from about 10 years, this card does not have any great use and honesty this card is so outdated, it doesn't have any benifit you get 1 reward points per 200 spent and you can redeem that reward points either for gift cards or coupon or convert it to card balance. 4 rewards points = ₹1

I have the same card but rupay version so i can pay on local merchants as well and get like 1.66%

1

u/Top_Intention_4003 8h ago

Nothing below 150 rs

1

u/so_orz 7h ago

Yes, but do you get that in Mastercard version?

1

u/Top_Intention_4003 7h ago

The network doesn't matter, reward rate is same for all variants

Why did you not consider SimplyClick? & What's the approved limit?

2

u/InternationalHat682 5h ago

I applied many and got rejected so I just tried this one, credit limit got 2L

2

u/Individual_0001 3h ago

You've got impressive limit but I think SimplyClick would have been better

Ehh, no chance 😅

u/vsx007 Cashback is King 3h ago

Cut it and throw it away but before that upgrade to a better card like cashback or premium sbi card. Also, if this then better get simply click. Far better for online spends.
