Critical Analysis & Discussion Why did we start caring about minor religious tensions like they matter and acting like we are supposed to care for religious sentiments of some snowflakes?

I remember in past people used to look at these minor tensions between religions as kinda foolish, and leave the tensions to those extremists themselves to fight. But these days, I see amplified posts about a Muslim did this in a Hindu temple, Hindus did that to a Masjid, like dude, I don't give a f**k about what those extremists do to themselves, maybe just hope justice is delivered to victim in that isolated case and that's it, because they are no different from any other hate crimes in this country. But these days, those religious extremists started acting like we are supposed to care about these silly incidents and their snow flake sentiments, even people started caring about these stupid sentiments like they are any use to the country. We collectively should stop thinking about these supposedly sentimental things emotionally and stop paying attention to those who want to benefit from these sentiments. We shouldn't be sentimental about any of ts, they are nothing, no use to the country.

And we should even start looking at these like foolish cases which doesn't have any useful impact on this country if they are solved any more than after a hate crime at the end of the street is solved, and even carry negative impact if we, as public who are supposed to develop this country, care about them any more than needed.

Law, Rights & Society Know your rights Part 3!!! DO NOT SIGN THESE ILLEGAL BONDS BY THE POLICE. WAIT TO BE PRODUCED IN A COURT OF LAW. THE POLICE ARE EXECUTIVES - NOT THE JUDICIARY and subject to the same restrictions as the people.

1) The bonds themselves are not necessarily unlawful if signed in front of a magistrate, but using those bonds to prohibit future peaceful protests, or treating participation in a peaceful demonstration as an automatic breach, would be constitutionally untenable.

2) Section 126 gives the authority to an Executive Magistrate, not ordinarily to a police officer acting independently. Police can initiate preventive action and place information before the magistrate. Section 170 permits preventive arrest only where an officer knows of a design to commit a cognisable offense and believes that it cannot otherwise be prevented. Such arrest cannot ordinarily extend beyond 24 hours without separate legal authorization.

3) Keeping the peace is not the same as refraining from protest. The prescribed peace bond language in Form 13 prohibits committing a breach of peace or acts likely to occasion one. It does not prohibit attending political gatherings, shouting lawful slogans, or expressing disagreement with the government.

Critical Analysis & Discussion " No proof " Against CEC, they said...😵‍💫😵‍💫

Post image
109 Upvotes

lmao the "no proof of fraud" crowd is really out here typing paragraphs while the receipts are literally on front pages. cute.just watched the video of Aakash banerjee and let me break it down for y'all..

so first off,the known, 13 crore names gone from the voter list. 14% of the electorate. the 2024 election difference between NDA and INDIA bloc was like 2%. so either 13 crore people just decided to vanish or someone's playing games. 9.5 crore marked "absent/shifted" like they're npcs that despawned. 2.7 crore "dead." 1 crore "duplicates." no new law, no NRC notification, just a centralized software. totally normal democracy stuff.

then UP's ERO Net software auto-generated 85,854 deletion forms. without any citizen application. without any speaking order. why? because someone typed "A" instead of "H" somewhere. digital india moment fr. the UP CEO went on camera and said "13 crore voters, 85,000 complaints is very minor." minor for him. not for the 85,000 people about to lose their voting rights over a typo.

odisha? bhadrak. BJP booth agents filed mass deletion forms exclusively targeting muslim-majority booths. 30+ booths with 90%+ muslim voters got hit. one BLO found his own name on the list. told the SDM these applications are fake. nothing happened. no police action. no consequences. just prayers.

bihar's "purified" list had 14.35 lakh duplicate entries still sitting in the final roll. 3.42 lakh cases where name, relative's name, age, everything matched 100%. so duplicates stay but a single letter mismatch deletes you? interesting. also 500 people registered at one house in Pippra. one room. 500 voters of different castes and religions. ECI software didn't catch that either. a ward councillor spent two months trying to remove his dead parents from the list. they stayed. he couldn't vote. make it make sense.

UP had 71.38 lakh Form 6 applications but 84.3 lakh additions in the final roll. 12-13 lakh extra people added from nowhere. journalist asked the UP CEO where they came from. he said "we don't run a consultancy service" and hung up.

delhi: ECI rules say 2%+ deletions in a booth is abnormal and ERO must verify. only 51 out of 14,947 booths had under 2%. 639 booths had 50%+ deletions. half the voters in those booths gone. one administrative exercise.

and the U-turns? comedy gold.

started with 33 lakh notices in Delhi asking people to prove citizenship. Supreme Court asked for justification. ECI panicked and said "actually BLOs will come home." except they don't have enough BLOs. took that back too.

then WhatsApp messages to BLOs asking them to sign clearance certificates without checking documents. found ho ke certificate. case close.

bengal: 58 lakh voters put in "absent/shifted/dead" category. 27 lakh names cut. 22 lakh appeals. ECI quietly reversed it. now BLOs will re-add them. elections already done though. convenient.

ECI was sending locked non-readable PDFs to parties then saying "find the fraud yourself." now suddenly giving machine-readable lists. no reason. totally voluntary.

goa: 97 voters couldn't get names back because Delhi ECI officials were controlling software. had to be publicly embarrassed into fixing it.

meanwhile CJP protested. rahul gandhi marched to SC. INDIA bloc showed up. government detained 3,000-7,000 people in one weekend. arrested journalists. RSF said 16 media persons detained. Jantar Mantar de-notified. das and ranka sent to tihar for five days over a tricolour. why? because the protests are working. the U-turns prove it.

and the supreme court? during emergency they stayed silent. same energy now. justice bagchi questioned bengal deletions but court upheld SIR in may and won't suspend kumar before hearing him. so the man accused of the biggest voter roll fraud since emergency gets to keep his job while the court "considers" things.

so yeah. 13 crore names deleted. 85,000 auto-generated deletion forms in UP. 50%+ deletions in 639 delhi booths. muslim booths targeted in odisha. 500 people in one room in bihar. dead people staying on lists while living people can't vote. ECI doing U-turn after U-turn because they got caught. thousands detained. journalists arrested. leaders in tihar. supreme court watching silently.

and some re telling me there's no evidence?

the only thing missing is gyanesh kumar's resignation letter. and that's exactly why people are still on the streets🥀🥀🥀

more power to them.....

Peace✌️✌️✌️

Critical Analysis & Discussion Was it stupid for Rahul Gandhi to go against corporate and his own party? Or an act of putting nation first?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Rahul Gandhi’s political career—from opposing corporate land acquisitions in Niyamgiri (2008) and Bhatta Parsaul (2011) to publicly rejecting his own government’s 2013 ordinance on convicted lawmakers.

Supporters view his refusal to compromise with corporate interests or party corruption—such as advocating for tribal rights, farmer compensation, and legal integrity—as a principled choice favoring constitutional values over quick political victories.

Critics argue that alienating corporate donors, media, and party insiders weakened his political infrastructure, allowing opponents to control the narrative and crippling his election prospects.

Was this principled politics that sacrificed political gain for the greater good, or a strategic miscalculation that hurt both him and his party in the long run? What are your thoughts?

Elections & Democracy Delhi police's new low. We need urgent police reforms.

During cjp's protest, we have seen large scale violence by delhi police officers. They have crossed all the boundaries.

On 10 oct, they put some protesters in a police van, and travelled throughout Delhi for 1 hr. After an hour, they got off the students at a remote location, where they snatched the Mobile phones from all the students, aligned them in a line on their knees, switched off all the lights, and didn't allow lawyers to enter it.

Some police personnel sexually assaulted girls and many more.

We need urgent reforms like-:

  1. No illegal detention.

  2. Right to consult with lawyer immediately.

  3. No force against peaceful protesters.

  4. No journalist should be detained.

  5. No police personnel without name plate & police uniform.

  6. Zero tolerance policy against the police personnel, who breach any of these rules.

  7. Police's operational independence from govt.

  8. No support to any gunda.

  9. No personal comment should be made by any police personnel.

Law, Rights & Society What's going on at Allen Kota's Sabal campus? Another student fight reportedly escalates into serious violence.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Fight videos involving students at Allen's Sabal campus in Kota keep circulating online, and the latest account on r/JEENEETards describes a particularly disturbing incident on October 16.

According to the Reddit post, a fight between students allegedly escalated, with one student reportedly being struck with an air gun and suffering serious injuries. The exact circumstances and the claims circulating about what happened are still unverified.

But it raises some bigger questions.

What is happening in these coaching environments that conflicts between teenagers can escalate to this level? Are institutes doing enough to prevent repeated fights, respond to serious injuries and maintain campus security? And how much does the intense competition and pressure surrounding JEE preparation contribute to the environment?

I'm not suggesting that every Allen student behaves this way, or that academic pressure automatically causes violence. But when disturbing videos repeatedly circulate, surely the response shouldn't just be to watch, share and move on.

Are coaching institutes taking student safety seriously enough, or are we normalising violence among teenagers?

Critical Analysis & Discussion Whats the point of denying entry making the point about religion....😵‍💫

so the "protectors of Hinduism" are out here doing exactly what they accuse others of. radicalizing a festival that was never rigid to begin with

ngl the whole garba gatekeeping arc is wild. aadhaar checks, tilak at entry, muslim bouncers fired in hyderabad, muslim women with valid tickets turned away in kota, a hindu girl questioned in jamshedpur for showing up with her muslim friend even after her parents said it's fine. and the reason? "religious sanctity." ok let me actually engage with that since apparently nobody else is.

first, the "it's an act of devotion to Durga so non-believers shouldn't be there" argument. bro. gods are not exclusive clubs. you don't need a membership card to show up. sikh langar serves everyone, you don't get asked if you're amritdhari. people eat iftar food during ramadan without converting. nobody checks your aadhaar before letting you eat biryani at a muslim friend's wedding. festivals are not just about the deity, they're about people coming together. and if belief was really the bar, then let's talk about the lakhs of hindus who don't actually believe in Durga. atheists exist. agnostics exist. people go for the dancing and the food and the vibes. so why is the purity test only applied to non-hindus? pick a lane.

second, the "commercialization is ruining tradition" argument. lmao. temples were commercialized way before garba was. VIP darshan, paid aarti slots, ₹500 for a closer look at the idol. where's the outrage about that? commercialization actually made these festivals accessible and fun. festivals shouldn't feel like a school assembly. the spice is the point. obviously there should be limits, nobody wants a full nightclub with a Durga cutout, but using "anti-commercialization" as a cover to filter out muslims is not it. you're not protecting tradition, you're doing bigotry with extra steps.

third, security and identity checks. no take here, honestly. check IDs, do bag checks, keep people safe. that's fine. but notice how the security argument suddenly becomes a religion filter. checking everyone is security. checking only non-hindus is discrimination with a lanyard.

fourth, the "they only come to harass women" argument. this one is genuinely lazy. there are creeps in every crowd. there are hindu men who harass women at garba, there are men of every community who do terrible things. you deal with individuals. you don't blanket ban a whole religion because of the worst people in it. that's like banning all men from the metro because some men are creeps. you'd call that insane and you'd be right.

and the people defending this are the same ones who lose their minds when someone says hinduism is regressive. because hinduism has never been rigid like that. it's famously one of the most flexible, pluralistic, "believe what you want, do what you want" religions out there. you can be a theist, an atheist, a nastika, an agnostic, and still be hindu. that's the actual tradition. the second you start putting up gates and tilak checkpoints and asking people to prove their faith, you're not protecting hinduism. you're inventing a version of it that looks suspiciously like the thing you claim to be defending it from.

so yeah. the protectors are protecting hinduism by making it exactly what they say other religions are. rigid, exclusionary, insecure. congratulations.

the irony is doing push ups in the corner.

for anyone who disagrees, can call me out in comments....i have tried to reply to each point i have heard of...

Plz be critical....✌️✌️✌️

Critical Analysis & Discussion I see the number '13 crore' voters deleted. Do the people, who protest, here not realize that it is a largely overinflated number?

Genuine question. I am largely apolitical, but maybe right leaning. I see this 13 crore number being thrown across in multiple platforms, including in interviews given by actor Prakash Raj. He knows nothing, i am sure people on both sides will agree. No one is claiming 13 crore illegal immigrants. But the 13 crore people includes people who are dead, duplicate names, erroneous entries, illegal immigrants. It also includes people who have moved. Lets say a voter moves from Rajasthan to kerala. They get 'deleted' from Rajasthan roll and added in kerala roll. That person did not lose their vote, but gets added as a deletion. The last SIR happened 20 years ago and with a country of our population, the revisions would obviously net big numbers. Do the protestors realize all this? Surely many of you will agree that the numbers you are throwing around is heavily overinflated.

The Supreme Court appears to be giving CJP a chance to behave and protest maturely and ensure that the merchants don't face loss.

How the protestors behave will definitely impact how they judge the cases before then which involve critical issues such as preventive detention law.

I feel atp CJP needs to realize that instead of stretching this their best bet is to lower to more reasonable and tenable demands they can legally achieve such as investigation into SIR process and it's impact on Bengal elections and rollback the selection process of CEC and their lifetime immunity.

Removing one self serving bureaucrat does nothing. The whole foundation is rotten. Law needs to be changed.

Public support will ebb away once people realize they're being obstinate for political purpose. Probably already has...

Critical Analysis & Discussion UP’s Industrial Evolution: A Voter’s Perspective

Thumbnail
youtube.com
1 Upvotes

When Yogi Adityanath was chosen as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, I did not like him, and I had very little hope that he would do good work. However, over the last ten years, the state has moved steadily on the path of development. I am sharing this perspective now because, amid national protests, the BJP appears to be losing ground, and I am concerned about the prospect of the state returning to the Samajwadi Party, whose core electoral strategy relies heavily on the PDA (Pichhada, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) coalition rather than a primary focus on industrial growth. However, I do not support the BJP at the centre and want to see a change in national leadership in the 2029 election.

I remember being in Lucknow when the government was selected. In 2018, the state organized the UP Investors Summit. It was a massive event, and a major part of the city was transformed to welcome investors. That was the first time UP saw a concerted push by the government to bring industrialists into the state.

Ten years later, the industrial metrics reflect a substantial shift. The state has increased its number of registered industrial units from a baseline of approximately 14,000 to over 32,000 factories. Supported by industrialization, improved tax collection, and economic reforms, UP also strengthened its fiscal position, becoming a revenue-surplus state with a recorded surplus of ₹36,013 crore in the 2023–24 fiscal year.

This economic progress has been supported by a significant expansion of the state's transport infrastructure. The state has built a large network of highways, including the Purvanchal, Bundelkhand, and Ganga Expressway. Alongside these roads, the state has expanded its aviation capacity. It host multiple International and National Airports.

Industrial development is also expanding beyond traditional hubs like Western UP. A key initiative in this direction is the setting up of the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA). Conceived as a major greenfield industrial city near Jhansi.

Critical Analysis & Discussion A thought on OCI's in view of Imran Khan's Expulsion

Recent expulsion of Imran Khan, while may be lawfully right, but creates a very othering of former Indian citizens. We don't have an option of dual citizenship, but we shouldn't be at such odds with them.

Should Indian govt change its attitudes towards OCIs? As per law, they are not full citizens, but straightaway expulsion is a very harsh measure. There should be some form of security for OCI's, a partial citizenship charter. This would help in maintain connection with diaspora and engage with them at a stronger level, making them feel that they have a stake in the nation. As Indian diaspora expands, the second and future generations with better connection can act as an asset.

Critical Analysis & Discussion Is this really necessary to prove one's devotion?

90+ Decibels of noise pollution from loudspeakers.

This is from my society's Durga Pooja pandal. Note it's from inside my room, outside it's 100+ decibels music that has been going on for 2 hours and will go on till midnight.

Fun facts about decibels

Decibels don't increase proportionally, 100 decibels is 10 times more than 90 decibels, not 10+.

Decibel scale is logarithmic, every increase of 10 dB represents a tenfold increase in sound intensity

Even short term exposure to 80-90+ decibel noise can lead to permanent ear damage.

Loudspeaker culture in India

The loudspeaker culture in India has become worse over the years. It feels like surface level barbarianism where people compete to be louder than someone else and there is an arms race going on for loudspeakers. Every year the DJ has to be louder.

And on top of that people have their kids dance in front of the same loudspeakers where the noise levels can easily reach 120 decibels. This is insanity and will hurt children in the long term.

Religious Significance of Loudspeakers

2 specific religions really love loudspeakers. One plays it daily although in short bursts while the other plays it occasionally but in durations lasting several hours at once, sometimes the entire day or even nights.

This is nothing but a dick-measuring contest for dumb people who think their gods are deaf so we need to make more noise for them to hear us.

This also happens every year in UP with Kanwad Yatra's where DJ's are weaponized against people in western UP.

Civilized Countries take on DJs

In most civilized countries, loud noises have to be controlled and going over noise limits is against the law and can lead to harsh penalties.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8750464/

Extreme noise harms the environment in general and needs to be controlled.

What India can do

Impose strict impartial bans on noise pollution. Maharashtra has banned Azaan on loudspeakers but this ban is not really enforced for other religions. This promotes strife and also gives people a motivation to play DJ's just to rub salt on others.

We need a blanket ban on DJ's outside of authorised venues. Noise complaints have to be taken seriously with heavy fines for violators.

Sales of larger loudspeaker systems has to be restricted.

Additionally, the government can promote usage of older ways for celebrating festivals. Loudspeakers did not exist 100 years ago, they're not essential to any religion in the world.

Ask CTI Anna Hazare agitation lasted 288 days before the last regime change. How did Delhi survive?

correction: the actual agitation was just 12 days.

We see Dipke & Co & RaGa and the entire opposition raising a protest slogan etc

Govt shut down Delhi in response. But I remember Anna agitation was 288 days long

Did Delhi not face issues back then before the last regime change? 288 days is a long ass time for a protest. I was young when that agitation was taking place. Those who were elder during that time, how was the atmosphere in Delhi and the country about it?

I know Congress didn't call it a "Soros funded CIA funded operation to break India into 5 pieces and a regime change" thing

If they did a 288 day agitation back in the day, how is it that Delhi is shut down for a simple protest?

Critical Analysis & Discussion What a system we are living in? All except Tax payers are VIP. Even Airport pickup has VIP lanes and we who pay income tax, gst , then airport charges are not allowed in one of the lanes no matter how much the other lane is full

This is not about any political party, not about an individual, this is about how a common honest man is treated. If you don't have a VIP id card anyone thinks they have the right to be rude to you.

We pay income tax, we pay gst, we pay heavy airport fees, and then the lane is reserved for VIPs? If you miss the VIP lane board and ask the guard why we cannot go there, they are just outright rude to you. Will they dare to with any govt official.

We as individuals pay tax more than the salaries of babus, and we are treated as a 3rd class citizen?

Who will this 7.8% growth benefit? 2047 claim of developed nation is for whom? Will a common man get dignity and respect? If no, then what's the definition of the developed nation.

As a citizen and tax payer of India where are we heading as a society as a country?

The man interrogating him is Dr sonpimple . A well known Dalit rights activist and he is here for the case of Salil Wakhode

eally the moment these freeloader goons knocked on the door of India’s premiere institution, the admin should have called the highest level police ranking officer. A whole squad of capable law officers should have arrived and ruthlessly kicked them out.

Critical Analysis & Discussion The opposition is squandering a golden opportunity to sway the more neutral BJP supporters by letting radical narratives overshadow their movement.

I say this as someone with a family which has been largely pro BJP - so many of the criticisms I see online of the BJP I have also been surprised to hear from my own family.

  • Getting too comfortable - not addressing issues clearly. Basically the same lack of accountability so many are upset about.
  • The bizarre recent calls like adding a cockroach effigy to Ram Leela - even my grandmother who is the most ardent BJP supporter said it was stupid.
  • The Modi ego-stroking - renaming an airport in his name, other things they've noticed - they say even though it's done by other party politicians, they expect someone to tell Modi it's not a good look and speak against it.

So basically these are some general frustrations against BJP from people who vote for them.

A sensible opposition would realize they need to simply capitalize on this anti-incumbency by pitching themselves as a balanced option which aims to "continue" development while removing these problems.

But the approach the opposition for some reason has taken is vilifying BJP to the point they claim the country has been destroyed, creating a pointless anti "Hindutva" narrative which attacks people's faith, and letting leaders like Neha Bora who by most standards have fringe extremist views which quickly rule them out as candidates.

No matter what Congress's agenda, if a person who openly quotes Bangladesh as inspiration and hails Umar Khalid as a hero is someone you make the face of your movement, you will never get mass support.

Similarly - if the congress has an issue with RSS-Bajrang Dal type goons, make a clear distinction between them and regular Hindus. Don't post images of someone wearing bhagwa with a tika and call him an "andhbhakt". It's really strange to me why they would do such things.

And finally - it shouldn't hurt the opposition to accept the good work that has happened in the country under BJP. A campaign of "they have done some good but have got too comfortable and progress has stalled" is better than pretending people are idiots and can't see the development that has happened since 2014.

To me it feels like Congress has completely given up on BJP's middle class north indian Hindu vote base and decided to completely alienate it by going in the opposite direction. Maybe their political strategists think unifying the Muslim and marginalized community vote will be enough, but it hasn't proven to be in the past elections, many of the marginalized communities themselves identify as Hindu and won't take kindly to their religion being mocked, and a lot of the people who were actually willing to be open to a sensible opposition's pitch are only further turned away.

Elections & Democracy Actor imran khan has been issued a notice to leave INDIA by mumbai police. It reminds us the lala lajpat rai's expulsion from india in 1907.

Post image
0 Upvotes

Imran Khan openly supported the students and more importantly indian democracy. Now he is paying the price for his honesty. His upcoming comeback movie is facing a possible delay too.

On the other hand, in america, actors openly support the presidential candidate or openly criticise the govt. Taylor Swift openly supported kamala haris during the last election. While, india being a "mother of democracy" can't tolerate any opposition from an actor.

Only dictat0rs can do this. Yes, he isn't a citizen of india, but still he lives in india, he has worked here for his life, he is part of our society. He didn't do anything wrong except supporting students.

But this govt doesn't do anything against the bhakt overseas Indians, who spread propaganda all day. The people who support dictat0rs get impunity, while those who raise their voice get punished.
