Need a cheap rotor for a tiltrotor drone that can get around 8-12kg thrust, using a 22 inch propeller. Can anybody find an alternative that isn't of Chinese origin?

I have access to a 3d printer, composites lab, a metalworking shop and soldering guns and have some CAD knowledge. What should I make vs buy to replicate that drone and do it cheap with the resources I currently have? I know that I would like to 3d print the frame or possibly make it out of carbon.

I am looking for commercial motors in the 60 to 70mm diameter class, 120-200kv. For example the HobbyWing M6215 would work, but it is out of stock. The M6210 is in stock, but slightly undersized for my application. I have never ordered for KDE or other suppliers and I am trying to avoid significant tariffs as well. (USA) Thanks!

Found a weak point on my gps mount and got my filter profile perfected for this frame.

I was having a weird fly away issue which is how I broke the gps mount and my motors were getting hot.

Flys super good now with no weird vibration issues or fly away problems.

I am an EE sophomore, and I want to get into building drones. I have experience with building robots, and I know basic design tools. However, I have no idea where to get started when it comes to drones. I know that there are YouTube videos that help with most of the beginner material, but I want to LEARN this niche.

I have a happy model ep1 elrs receiver and am using a TBS Lucid Pro FC as well as the ESC. My Radiomaster pocket is bound to the receiver but the bars aren't moving in betaflight. Its on serial and its set to crsf as well as aetr1234. Im running firmware 4.5.2 and have out the supafly freestyle preset on the drone. Can someone tell me what im doing wrong. Its my first full build and I'm stuck. I'll probably need more help than just this.

I have been using rapid harness to desing the wiring of a system. Altough the rapid harness software has 95 + million parts from octopart, it looks like a lot of parts are missing. For example any conector from Molex, Hirose and others do not appear. Mostly Deutsch DT Series appear. Has anyone already made some libraries available to share ? Did you made all your needed connectors and parts ?

One of the screws attached to the motor mount was scraping against the wire and it got cut. This is how much of the wire is left, is it possible for me to solder and repair this?

Hello everyone. I have successfully balanced my drone using the MPU6050 sensor, but I am struggling to maintain altitude using the VL53L1X sensor. I have spent over three consecutive weeks trying to get altitude hold working without success. I would appreciate any help or relevant documentation. Thank you all for reading and for your feedback.

So I’m planing to buy a Pavo 20 pro 2 but I don’t want to use the o4 pro for my camera. I want to be able to use analog but the frame to mount the camera has 2 holes on each side and the camera I’m going to use (Baby ratel 2) only has one on each side.

How should I make the custom mount?

Is there a better analog camera alternative that matches the screw mounting position of the dji o4 pro?

When I had a friend try it out, I found out that older GPUs like the GTX 1660 don't support hardware ray tracing. That's fixed in the version that's up now.

I’m building an autonomous quadcopter using a ZD850 frame, PX4 v1.17, a Pixhawk 6x flight controller, and Jetson Orin NX 16 GB. My setup includes a Livox Mid-360 LiDAR, an RGB camera, ROS 2 Humble, GLIM, nvblox, and TensorRT for mapping, odometry, and object detection. I plan to test everything in Gazebo Harmonic with PX4 SITL before moving to real-world flights. Is this setup practical, and what integration challenges or changes would you recommend based on your experience?
