Discussion A tweet that has me thinking.

Post image

I don’t know if Riot can copy what valve has created with Deadlock. The atmosphere and setting so what I think makes deadlock so enjoyable. Yes the gameplay is amazing and the moba aspects are great but I just don’t think riot will even try to copy valve and make a deadlock clone. What is all y’all’s thoughts.

i think you vastly overestimate how much riot cares about this. League is insanely far beyond what deadlock will become, deadlock wont even come close to the numbers league has any time soon if at all.

League is also far beyond what CS was, and it didn't stop them, did it

No, but that made sense, a Deadlock clone doesn't. Also seeing how CS does, Riot probably made the best move with this. CS2 is a dead bot farming gamble heaven filled with cheaters in simple deathmatches up to highest premiere ranks. Unless you play FaceIT it's barely unplayable in my and friends experience. But hey, at least no kernel anti cheat while even FaceIT has it. It's just so sad what they made with Cs2 and gives me no further hope for Deadlock long-term. They can fix Dota, they made Cs worse and every other game was abandoned.

Still the most popular and profitable game on Steam with a healthy pro-scene. All this "CS2 is dead" is cope from people.

It's not dead, but premiere is dead which is just sad. Also ofc not in a financial aspect. But everyone who wants to play it serious must use faceit and CS2 made CS definitely worse.
