I was a bit disappointed in the kit because it seems pretty disconnected from the Cheshire Cat from Wonderland. I thought we were going to get a hero with size changing abilities!

Not trying to be a dick, but does the Cheshire Cat change size? I only really associate it with some kind of invisibility/disconnecting itself from reality and being cheeky

You’re right that it’s not generally associated with him but just wonderland in general. But I’ll add that, in the original illustrations, his disembodied head appears really huge when he pops up near the end (when they debate whether a floating head can be beheaded)

oh, on minesweeper's twitter he 'leaked' his whole kit, is what I was referring to.
> 1: 'Cash Grab', a projectile he shoots out, slowing the enemy and causing souls to be dropped on the floor, that can be picked up after a short time, in the path of the hero while slowed.
>2: Switch with the rat (basically Calico 3)
>3: Put your teammate in the bag (kinda like Rem sleep but inverted - can take them with you)
>4: Deploy a field of spikes, reused from Thumper (vid below)2

Rem sleeps on teammate as cheshire kidnaps them. Give cheshire a magic carpet for 3 man gank squad:)

Yeah someone at valve was playing ultrakill I guess.
Of course, reminder that not everything shown in leaks is actively being worked on even if it's real. This guy could have been canned internally and we just don't know.
Though let me note I personally think Cheshire was and or is real, I don't think this one is complete fabrications.
EDIT: Recent information revealed that this was what some would call a "prank" on minesweeper, and 2 (two) people came together using a real leaked character and then just made things up.

Could be fun, at least the first ability. But the rest of the leaked kit looked so meh. His 1 and ult being the only damage abilities, locks him into being a gun focused support. (At best, assuming bag let's him heal allies.)
Now don't get me wrong. I love the idea of a fat cat running the streets. But this ain't it. (And I hope if Cheshire is real, he gets abilities that play more to the alice in wonderland idea)

Looks more like a support to me. Unless his talents do crazy gun stuff, he doesn’t look to have gun potential.

someone remind me if Minesweeper's ever leaked something fake; I believe in his stuff cuz from what I remember his winrate (of having real stuff) has been extremely high but maybe I blanked something out (my memory's kinda spotty)
anyway, looking forward to purple cat Bounty Hunter, looks like it'll be fun just running around the enemy jungle stealing small amounts of money from enemies and running away like a cartoon villain

My memory is also spotty but honestly I think the only time he was really wrong was he was a main person saying update was soon/"this month" and yet it didn't happen. However Yoshi later on confirmed it really could have been in that timeframe and just barely didn't happen. But generally he just posts things and then we the players get a bit peeved when things don't happen.
Also I think it's a bit silly to "hate certain leakers" since minesweeper isn't the one in the builds, people just send him stuff, like how every other leaker gets their info, it just so happens fake and real stuff is sent to minesweeper very often, and it's hard to verify what is real or fake even on his side, and so sometimes things slip through. And like I said in my main comment. Lots of things are real, but valve has already decided to not move forward. Id argue that's a very different reason for being wrong.
Also nowadays minesweeper uh, is kinda literally the only person ever even talking about leaks. There isn't even anyone else to be wrong and then dogpiled on.

but that was just cuz he gave a patch release date estimate that turned out to have been plausible? i do remember thinking that people were wildly overreacting to him giving an iffy estimate

So rumor is that next big update will have 5 new characters - As far as I know we have seen leaks for another vamp (model/art commission) and this Cheshire dude (in game leaks). I believe them - seems likely these two are be included and I’ll eat my words. Now if we can get another Deathy roster leak to confirm that would be great (also unsure if valve kept Deathy in the closed teat servers tho)

Graf and Cheshire Cat are both fake, Graf was confirmed fake forever ago. And the skins were fake as well. Nothing minesweeper has said in recent times has been true

Not a fan.
Not because of the kit or anything. I just think having two Purple themed Cat heros is a terrible idea. Plus i feel like Valve knows that; (considering how good Deadlock Hero design is), which makes me believe this is fake.

Kit looks fine but I'm not a fan of that design at all. Elicts the same reaction I had (and have) to Rem.

Rumours often develop a life of their own until people are led to believe something was "promised" to them. Wait for official confirmation before attaching expectations.
Even genuine leaks represent a work in progress, are subject to change and do not guarantee an eventual release.
