Warden, pocket, Paige, mirage, McGinnis, Lash, Holiday, grey talon, and Doorman all look like normal human beings if you just look at their character models…. People just HAVE to have something to complain about

She's just the weakest design wise out of the six which is still impressive.

Yeah, and I'm sure if people had to vote for them, they would be one of the last ones. Except Lash maybe, his voice lines would've given him an edge

Doorman would not be last. He came second to Billy (would probably have been third if Mina was voted on)

I didn't see the doorman in the comment. I think doorman def stands out between pocket, warden,Holliday, grey talon and Paige. He has pretty good voice lines

Possibly true. I’m personally voting Violet second, after Danny. I think the whole artist theme could bring some pretty aesthetics to her abilities. Hopefully she has really colorful animations.

warden has all sorts of cops stuff on. holliday is a wearing a cowboy getup. the doorman is an extremely distinctive design that does not look like a normal person. grey talon is a placeholder model.

The issue with warden is he isnt a cop, holiday is.

Warden is a guy who spent his life training to fight in this battle, he was raised by people who spent their life training for this too. He is neck deep in the occult and is basically a supersoldier, the literal only thing that fits his background is the hand in a cage being vaguely occulty (but is never mentioned). His design does not fit him whatsoever, which makes sense because the theory is the model was meant for a different canceled character from the olden days. He desperately needs a redesign as he is yet another placeholder.

Ideally I'd like to see him look like some sort of alchemical vigilante. Maybe wearing a trench coat lined with all sorts of potions and concoctions, walking around with his hook in one hand and a cannon in the other (his gun model also sucks), maybe a satchel full of any relics that may help out in the ritual. His ult animation could change to him chugging potions or rummaging through his bag to kick off last stand.

Not saying it matches his lore, just saying that there's a lot more going on than "some guy"

I’m not quite sure how you came to the conclusion that a cop, cowboy, or a doorman are any more interesting than a painter… all things considered, they are all just normal jobs that average people have in the world. And none of their character models are particularly exciting when comparing them to the fantastical characters in the game. I think everyone I named is comparable to Violet.

They look like normal human beings, but they still exude character. No one's problem is human characters, its her lack of character.

Lash obviously has a backalley-boxer vibe going on, he has prominent tattoos, the interesting design element of sparkles floating around him, an eye catching hairstyle; everything about his design oozes "showboating". He also has rope for some reason, a boxing glove gun, handwrap and knuckle dusters, and a ton of things hanging from his belt that hint there's even more going on. You can tell a lot not just about who he is but also his personality from his design.

Paige I'll give you. She just gives off a book girl aesthetic and the only unique design elements hinting to more are her broach and necklace, she's criticized for this often enough.

McGinnis is a blue collar worker seemingly directly inspired by the "we can do it" feminist poster for women in the workplace. The tech she has is massive and hulking, but also clearly indicates she works in some sort of heavy industry or military stuff. Theres tools visibly hanging from her, she is wearing overalls and some sort of military or industrial apron for protection, her ult uses a welding mask, and so on. Everything about her design indicates she is 1) pushing her way into an industry that normally rejects her 2) is pragmatic more concerned about functionality than anything else 3) works in some sort of industry.

Warden, holiday, and grey talon are to my knowledge... placeholders and are poor comparisons seeing as we all know they're bad and no one disputes this. I personally think Holiday should get a sort of Fargo inspired design overhaul.

Violet is an artist in a beret with a paintbrush which tells us she does art, wears a chinese shirt and a Buddhist bead tassel which tells us she's chinese and vaguely spiritual or something. Its clearly not as strong a visual characterization. I struggle to gleam anything about her personality from her look, which is why it feels like a worse design than the others. I hope her abilities characterize her more, but from a glance she is "just a girl" whereas McGinnis most certainly is not.

Lash has ropes because his job is lashing.  You hear some characters refer to him as a stevedore.  That's a dock worker, one of their jobs is called "lashing" where you secure cargo on a cargo vessel so it doesn't move/topple during transit.  Today we use steel containers and steel crossbeams, but it's still called lashing.

Oh neat, i assumed it was just related to his jump. Adds a bit more to his design in retrospect because now hes not just a sailor (from the tattoos), he's specifically a dock worker.

I wasn't aware they were in the character poll this time.
