Does Minecraft splitscreen work for anyone else?

[u/Affectionate-Toe2872]

I've set it up using https://github.com/FlyingEwok/MinecraftSplitscreenSteamdeck

But it makes one screen and then just turns black!

It happens when I use gamemods but It works a little when in desktop mode (but it makes one screen to many and controls don't have their individual input)

Is it something I did to fuck it up? Does it work for anyone else?

Edit: desktop mode is working great after sole tweaks, but gamemode just isn't cooperating
