Just my regular intrusive thoughts when I drive channeled into Harry. Why does driving bring out the worst in me? 😭

ZA/UM we know you lost the plot but god damn

I'm starting to (hopefully) cover my denim jacket in patches and thought a white rectangle patch would look sick as a nod to the game but want to double check it isn't used by any real world groups I wouldn't want to be associated with before I commit! I couldn't find anything online but figured this was the best place to double check

I just started the game and I'm maybe 2 hours into it, but i have no idea whats going on. I've died and had to restart like twice and i don't know how any of the game mechanics work. Is this like normal or am I just really dumb?

"2026 - The Police Are Maiming School Students"

Outside of the reasons behind the French protesting, this felt very Disco Elysium, thought this sub would appreciate

I think I might be finally starting to understand consciousness and the meaning of disco.

I know many of you hated his Disco Elysium video (even though it was absolutely fitting with it's themes, according to me). But maybe you'll love this one?

Edit: It's about what the former Disco Devs are doing.

Also is it just me or does Chaim Soutine in the first pic kinda look like Jean, and Akulov himself in the fourth one like Harry?

I also turned Klaasje in because of the honor dimension to it

What are you supposed to do when there the only way for you to advance the story at all in any direction is to attempt various white checks, all of which are not actually available? The only white checks marked available are ones like rewaking the dockworker who is gone today (Tuesday) or forcing the garbage that I opened with the key.

I can't move forward unless these white checks unlock, I can't level up without new dialogue/actions to pursue, and I REFUSE to stand here rereading the same two books or run around having the same 3 interactions over and over a-goddamn-gain to make time pass. I refuse to believe the game so many seem to love is just a drudgery/frustration simulator and there is no other reason it would be this deliberately obfuscatory to you making any sort of progress.

I should probably clarify that I have been following the suggestion implicit in 90% of conversation about this game [revolving as it does specifically around it "discouraging" min-maxing, which is crucially and dramatically distinct from it penalizing necessary min-maxing]. Either I'm autisming my way past some kind of flat joke somewhere and you actually do (as the Suzerainity rulebook suggests) have to pick a narrow lane and lean in hard regardless of the penalties or there is some other subtley I am missing. It could also be that I am misreading some of Kim's satements and doing the dirty deal with Joyce or Claire are not actually optional. Wondering if someone can spell out whatever it is this game is failing to communicate so I can actually enjoy it.

im playing disco elysium for the first time rn and I was doing the whole try and shoot down the body thing and my friend convinced me to point the gun at Cunoesse and THERES AN OPTION TO SHOOT?????? IS THAT EVER SUCCESFUL, CAN YOU ACTUALLY KILL HER?????????? What happens if you do?? Or even if you just shoot?

i am apart of the 5-person ruud fanclub and i have no idea who the other 4 people are

I just finished watching the “The Making of Disco Elysium” YT documentary series from /noclip and I was wondering if anyone know the book showed in the video. Or is it even released? If it does, where can I buy or access it?

The book showed some insight of the team’s background, design sketches, moodboard etc etc. I would die to read it.

I attached a video for reference. Thanks!

I have some issues with it I'm still trying to fix, largely that it's super delicate and theoretically could work, but I need to order the pieces to find out. I want to make the kerning and gaps tighter in spots but it's real hard. The goal is to make it for a complete build of the whole Whirling in Rags at mini-figure scale, it's maybe ~1.5x ish scale when comparing to a mini-figure.

(sorry this is late. I couldn't get automod to do it, apparently that's not a feature anymore so I have to do it myself.)
