Did you have pain around lower abdomen after ectopic surgery?

27f- I recently had an ectopic surgery in August and I still sometimes get similar sharp sort of pain on my left side where my tube was removed. I checked with a doctor and she said I had yeast infection and gave me meds but even after that I still sometimes randomly have pain on left.

Also it's very scary every time I feel any pain in that area, so idk if its my anxiety. I had my left tube removed and also ruptured ovarian cyst. I'm very scared to ever try for pregnancy again because I had 2 miscarriages before then this. Also my period has become lighter which I keep getting worried for. My doctor said it might take 2-3 cycles to get normal but I can't help but keep having anxiety. I feel like I failed as a woman and had one job. I'm just very scared to go to hospital again. I keep thinking about only if my ectopic was discovered earlier I could just get MTX injection and save my tube.

I just want to know if anyone had similar experience or pain after surgery? Because I'm extremely clueless and confused if it's just me or is this normal healing phase.

Both tubes removed, 10 days late

Firstly, I’m (31) getting a pregnancy test tomorrow just in case.

Both my tubes were removed after two ectopic pregnancies. I then succesfully had a child with IVF. she’s almost five. There were no attempts for pregnancy, since I have a new partner and we’re only together for a year, planning to start IVF in a few months.

I realised just now that I’m ten days late, whil normally my cycle is very regular (28-30 days). I have been experiencing morning sickness for about 4-5 days now. I thought nothing of it without my tubes.

Really scared for another ectopic pregnancy now. Part of me hopes it’s a false alarm, part of me hopes I’m a medical wonder (it would be so welcome). I know I know, it’s wishful thinking.

I really needed to get this of my chest.

Trying to process

Hi, everyone. I had an ectopic pregnancy abut two weeks ago. this caused my right tube to rupture and I had to have emergency surgery to remove it.

During the ultrasound they did before the surgery I thought I heard a heart beat. The doctor was listening for the blood flow to the ovaries and I thought I heard a heart beat. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this? The doctors and nurses were all professional and quick to get me into surgery so if there was a heart beat it’s possible they didn’t want me to get upset because the surgery would still have to happen.

Testing dates question

Hi everyone, I received my second dose of MTX on 10/13. I had blood work today 10/17. My doc wants me to come back for bloodwork on Monday 10/19… I’ve read that the bloodwork should be done on day 4 and then on day 7. Will getting it done on day 6 totally skew the data? This whole process has been ALOT mentally so I’d like to have accurate results.
Doc said they count the day I got the shot as day 1. Idk just wondering if anyone got bloodwork on day 6 and it was reassuring?

Ectopic in August. Pregnant in October. Can’t confirm location but hcg decreasing.

I just want to see if someone experienced something similar. Please offer your insight.

August 2026, I suffered from an ectopic pregnancy and lost my left tube. My symptoms were very minimal, I only went to the ER because I started to bleed. My HCG was 1,189 at that point and I was 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant. My left fallopian started to rupture.

Fast forward October 2026, just a week ago I discovered I am pregnant. I got a faint positive, I went to the ER because I started to get side pain, I was approximately 3 weeks 4 days at that point. My HCG was 41. Nothing was obviously seen in the ultrasound. (Including no free fluid) my HCG went up to 79 two days later. I went to labcorp for my own HCG test and it dropped to 29 just two days later. I went to the ER today.

My HCG today at 4 weeks and 3 days dropped to 22. They did an ultrasound and found free fluid with debris but couldn’t tell me if it was blood or not. They didn’t see anything in my fallopian tube and nothing in the uterus. Not a gestational or yolk sack, which with an HCG that low, it’s expected right?

They described it as an ectopic pregnancy because they couldn’t locate it. They said it would resolve itself and follow up with the OB in a week.

They told me to come back to the ER if I experience bleeding.. which would be normal for a chemical and not ok for an ectopic. Topping it off, it’s the weekend. My OB is already terrible at getting back to me.

What the heck do I do.

Misdiagnosed With EP - Given MTX

Summaries are not my forte, but I'm drowning in confusion here:

Suspected pregnancy after IUD, IUD confirmed placed incorrectly/rendered useless and removed.

Confirmed positive pregnancy tests.

Appt with family physician, recommends going to clinic for scan/confirmation/options as the waitlist for "Non-emergent ultrasound" is over a week long.

Make appt at abortion clinic. They confirm via ultrasound an ectopic pregnancy. Methotrexate given in thigh.

The hours that followed (maybe 3-4 hours before anything hit) were absolute hell. Injection site on fire. All of my muscles feel like they are being ripped apart, can't catch my breath, get relief, etc. from the onset of crazy symptoms.

Clinic calls me today, 1pm after I left several voicemails for their "aftercare" support - please keep in mind this was what my doctor told me would be the fastest way to get answers, I understand the abortion setting may be upsetting for some.

Biopsy on "bodily tissue" sample is a Corpus luteum cyst / hemorrhagic ovarian cyst.

The way they dismissed this information over a voicemail that says "there should be no long term side effects" of a poison being injected into me to target growing cells that DID NOT exist to begin with..

I am appalled. I understand the Canadian healthcare system sucks absolute donkey d!*$ but is this standard practice? Do clinics just casually call clients of their errors to inform them of such news and wish them good luck?

I felt like death and the only reason I'm currently functioning is because I took an ADHD med I haven't taken regularly in a while because I'm not sure what else to do. Trying to drink water to flush this out of my system.

With my research, I understand the type of cyst I had is commonly misdiagnosed as an ectopic pregnancy given the size and location they can be found, and would explain the positive hCG tests as the condition can mimic many symptoms of pregnancy.

So good news, I was never knocked up. Bad news, I'm utterly terrified at how this can happen and what do I do about it? How do I recover? And not spiral trying to research others' experiences without seeing how awful it is?

Help.

Could this be ectopic?please help (have severe health anxiety)

I had unprotected sex on Sept 1st for 7–8 mins with no ejaculation. I haven’t had sex since.

My period came on Sept 17th instead of Sept 15th and lasted 6 days with my usual flow, red blood, and clots. My next period started on October 17th which is yesterday after masturbating my flow increased, and my menstrual cup leaked after 3 hours. I noticed a suction release sound while coughing. Today, coughing caused the same sensation and leaked and After 2 hours the my cup was a little over half full with bright-red and dark-red clots not tooo big less than coin sized and they were 3-4 and watery red blood.
I’ve had 2 periods since sex both seemingly normal.

Pregnant after ectopic

Hi all.

So I had unprotected sex and took the emergency contraceptive pill. I found out I was pregnant a few days ago. I want to keep my baby.

I had an ectopic pregnancy in March 2023 which resulted in a ruptured tube which was surgically removed.

I am undergoing tests to rule out ectopic but in the meantime I am worried sick that it will be an ectopic again.

I took the emergency contraceptive pill with my first pregnancy and it was ectopic, so I am worried that the replicated circumstances will have the same result.

Does anyone have any experience with having a successful pregnancy after the taking the morning after pill?

Hell feeling

So after the hell month of August grief of ectopic, I got my first cycle on 19th September. Usually I do have a 28 day cycle. Expecting my cycle today but didn't get any. I m never late last time I got pregnant. Today I took a test but it came out negative n I left the test in the bathroom. After an hour, I took a peak and it had a faint line. I'm not sure if it is positive or evaporated. Since then now I'm feeling mild pain on the left side. Again the ectopic is haunting me.
