BIO 130 (Biological Principles I): Lau, Garcia, Callender, Libardi or Roberts? Any lab instructors you’d recommend or avoid?

CHM 124 (Principles of Chemistry): Chabra, Leventhal or Agarwal? Also, are there daytime CHM 124 labs, or only evening ones?

BCS 160 (Computers, Society and Technology): Anyone taken this? Who teaches it, and is it a lot of work?

GEO 211 (The World and Its Peoples, online): Has anyone had Fogarty? How’s the workload for the async version?

Also, is taking BIO 130 and CHM 124 together in one semester manageable, or is that rough with both labs?

Hi everyone! I’m currently a nursing student and I’m planning out my classes for next semester. I was wondering if anyone here has taken Pharmacology and Medical Microbiology at the same time.
I’m a little worried about how heavy the workload might be since I’ve heard both classes require a lot of memorization and studying, especially on top of other nursing courses.
For anyone who’s taken both together, how manageable was it? Did you find one class harder than the other? Would you recommend taking them together, or would it be better to take them in separate semesters?
I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences before I finalize my schedule!

I’m applying to Farmingdale’s nursing program for Spring 2027 and heard that you get to pick your top 3 clinical sites. Does anyone know how they decide who gets placed where? Like is it first come first served, random, based on GPA, etc? Also, do they take into account how far you live from the hospitals? I’m farther out east on Long Island so I’m hoping to get somewhere closer to home. Would love to hear from anyone who’s currently in the program or already graduated!

I emailed the SGA last night but I was hoping to cause more movements on this.

I’m a Pre-Health Cert student in their 3rd and last semester here and boy oh boy. I wish I came here for my bachelors. This campus is great but it is missing some quality of life features.

We need hand sanitizers around campus, not saying one around every corner but at least one in the student center by the food courts. As a guy I have seen a few nasties just walk out after coming out of a stall. I can’t believe we don’t have em, think about how much healthier our campus could be if we could just quickly clean our hands before getting food at the buffet.

Also we need to replace the microwaves. Something that takes me 3 minutes to heat up in my 950W microwave takes 7 minutes on campus. Also why do we only have 1 microwave for the whole campus? They’re not that expensive.

Thanks for listening to me on my soapbox. If yall know who else to contact besides the SGA on these matters lemme know. Let’s send out these suggestions together.

👩‍⚕️I will be providing your cleaning as part of my clinical education under the supervision of licensed dental hygiene faculty. 

📍Dental Hygiene Care Center (Gleeson Hall) in Farmingdale State College located at 2350 Broadhollow Road, Farmingdale, NY 11735 

🦷 The cleaning fee depends on the person. 

—> Adults: $25

—> FSC students: FREE

—> 65+: $20

—> 16 & under: $15 (Must be accompanied by an adult)

Each appointment lasts 4 hours but you will only pay ONCE during your 1st appointment. The number of appointments you may need to complete your cleaning depends on your oral health. Patients must be able to attend the entire appointment duration and arrive on time. The cleaning will require more than one appointment because I am learning and being evaluated by my instructor throughout the appointment.

Okay i may sound stupid rn, well i am really dumb idek how i got accepted here, but the stupid machine in gleeson hall was broken so i went to the campus center to get a drink i was practically dying bro, and i thought i saw a vending machine so i try to go to it but then i got called back to the lady waiting for me, and i wanted it to go, like the drink to go cuz my class is starting soon rn, and she made me go on some Reusepass and gave me a large tray, i told her i only wanted a drink but she said take it pls, so i did and took some food too cuz she told me. I dont know what this is, i never bothered going out of gleeson hall because all of my classes but one are there. So now that i got out im just pure confused. Was i charged for going in?? Like some people where charged to enter ir whtv, i still have this green tin and i dont even know bro i think the dehydration is getting to me. Im just socially awkward too so i just followed along no questions.
