Stock?

Considering purchasing this out of state. I’m told it’s stock. Is it missing the airbox or is it aftermarket? I see the washer fluid cap missing. Anything else you can tell from looking at this?

Thought the same thing but have googled “‘13 focus st3 engine bay” and can’t really see coolant in any of those images either. I’ve been reassured the fluids have all been checked/serviced.

Naw fam, coolant should be some kind of amber to orange and fill the expansion tank about half way. If that's full, it's full of water and that's a red flag in itself.

Yeah I got you. that’s what I thought initially too, that’s why I googled pictures to see if the minimum line was just below the line of sight or something. But you’re right, I’m just trying to talk myself into it, because I want this one lol.

I can see it from here. The reservoir is filled with water. If they were too lazy to top it off with coolant I'm willing to bet money that is hose water.

The airbox is removed, making it a mostly hot air intake rather than cai.

The coolant tank looks EMPTY from this angle so please check that, there is a max and minimum line that’s visible on the front right corner of the overflow tank.

Also with the washer fluid tank you can put a mentos cap on it like the rest of us as the oems kindve suck

My guess is that it was returned to stock and was more modded than this. Are the active grill shutters still there?

Looks like half of a Injen Intake. For some reason the shroud and crossover tube weren't installed.

Cheap replacement for the windshield washer fluid cap is a Mentos cap.

Danger.   No coolant?   After market filter and tube, no air box.  Otherwise "clean".   I'd now question everything - what else are they misrepresenting?

They took out the air box and have part of an injen intake there so not really "stock" imo but that's not crazy at least but there's so much other stuff people do to these cars. They still have the stock attachments at the bumper for the airbox lol. An airbox isn't an expensive replacement. Mine was aged and the bolts weren't even biting to hold the lid so I replaced mine. Looks like the dips tick is just Mia too?

1. Mentos gum lid easily replacesa washer fluid cap (right?)
2. Where tf is the coolant
3. That intake is, if anything, making performance worse.

If the price is good and the body/interior are in good shape, I'd at the very least pay to have it inspected by a mechanic. Whether that's just a general one, or a coolant pressure test or a compression/leakdown test.

this is a short ram air intake mod. the intake itself is stock up to where it says injen. the air box was removed but the short ram intake is silly imo. they did this for noise but they would have gotten the exact same effect if they just took the lid off the air box off
