came across this guy on my fyp and he’s honestly soo good I wanted to share it with more people!
At 11 y/o Jonathan Pellegrín Fonseca suffered severe injuries as a result of a dynamite explosion. Since then, music has become a refuge for him and he has taught himself on his own way how to create and play his own beats.

My birthday is in a few months. I'm a relative beginner who played casually for years and I'm currently taking lessons and trying to actually improve. I always really liked the Flying V shape, but heard people say it's impractical and not a good idea, especially for beginners. So I would like to hear what the actual owners of Vs think about it and how real these concerns are, is it a bad idea for beginners to have a somewhat exotic shape?
I currently have a Tele that I love, and I'm not getting rid of it ever, but I have my eyes on a jackson king v for my birthday. Would you guys share some stories about yours with me? Doesn't need to be about Jacksons specifically, any V shape story is appreciated!

Swipe to "reveal".
Charvel DK22 SSS 2PT CM with a mahogany body and walnut top.
Gotoh 510 2-point trem and Charvel locking tuners.
Caramelized maple neck, satin finish with rolled fingerboard edges. One of the most comfortable necks I've ever played. Shredder's heel/AANJ is perfectly contoured for upper fret access.
Pickup configuration is pretty ingenious. SSS in routing/name, but technically HSS. There's a single coil sized rail humbucker in the bridge and the neck pickup is reverse-wound/reverse-polarity (RWRP) so 4 out of 5 positions (with the exception of the neck pickup by itself) cancel out the 60 cycle hum. Position 3 is the neck and outer coil of the bridge for a telecaster tone. The pickups are relatively hot, especially the bridge humbucker.
In all honesty I prefer the feel of the DK24 over the DK22. Everything is shifted to the left to accommodate the 2 extra frets so the neck sticks out slightly further from the body. More comfortable for me because I have longer arms. The DK22 is still a great guitar, fun to play and everything is proportional to the traditional strat- except the bridge pickup is angled the opposite way which rolls off the harsh highs and tightens the bass frequency response. Gives more of a Jimi Hendrix tone as he played his right-handed strat upside-down. You still get the strat quack in the 2 and 4 positions. Feels/plays great and is very versatile. I highly recommend this guitar for strat lovers.

Hey there, when I was very young 10 to 13 years I played Electric Guitar and I learned to play the basics as well as some solos, I wasn’t “good” and near that.
Last week I decided to make this an hobby since I’m able to get some free time now.
I have some old 15w and 70w Amps and a Korg AX5G (which I have no clue how to use again).
I ordered a Harley Benton R-446.
My main inspo is Synyster Gates as my favorite band is A7X and Metallica, around that type of bands.
I wanted to know if someone could recommend me a place to start, a course of do or something to follow (free), instead of just wondering around.
I saw Justin Guitar Begginer Course, I don’t know if that’s the best thing to do, all the complete course.
Feel free to ask any questions.
Thanks

As I got older, I couldn't handle the volume and size of my Martin D-25-K anymore and I'm going to sell it. I just bought a Martin 00-15m and I love it. I can play whilst the wife watches TV in the other room without overwhelming her with decibels and the dimensions are so much more comfortable. The tone is beauty and truth. Do others get drawn to smaller guitars as they age? In the Boomer years you had to have a dread, preferably a Martin. That turned out to be bunk. I have a concert sized Gibson B-25-12, which I also love.

For the uninitiated, the Power Gig guitar is a guitar/game controller released with Power Gig: Rise of the Six String, a game meant as a Rock Band or Guitar Hero competitor, but with an actual guitar. The problem, of course, is that the controller sucks and the game didn't take advantage of it.
I picked this thing up for about $50 on Ebay earlier this year alongside the game, and the stock strings really highlighted how much this thing sucks. They were a 10-46 set and felt like rubber bands. Chords sounded awful. However, last week I got around to swapping them out with a 12-56 set of Ernie Ball Cobalt Slinky strings, and tuned it down to Drop C. The result was shockingly high tuning stability and chords that actually sounded good. At home I stumbled on the right combination of pedal and amp for a nice nu metal tone, but here it's just a Marshall and a tube screamer. Enjoy!

I'm looking at purchasing an acoustic guitar for my son. Something smaller but I started out on a cheap guitar with a bad setup and it made me not want to play. I would like to buy him something nice to start with like a martin lx1. Im not sure if that would be a good choice or if I should go another direction?
