Brief video highlighting a few things: most excitingly, Iāve proved beyond reasonable doubt that the Shrine Bowl vastly improves the Juney targetās performance ā and basically generalizes it, as I didnāt have to make any modifications to the small Springās position; just slapped the Bowl and then the Horse Harness on there, and voila; instant CoAxial Juney Target. I cannot say for certain whether improvements on it are worth the effort, it just does what I want it to. Unless I just got insanely lucky, Itās certainly worth the part imo.
Until this video, it didnāt occur to me to bother with a Star Fragment; but I think Iām going to need one.
After extensive trial with the current QR code, Iāve found the two commonest failure modes, are I believe simply instances of the same basic failure. In the first segment, the Driveshaft seizes up, and will not reach Propeller ON speed. For reasons I still donāt understand, Juney forward thrust also appears to fail when this happens - independently of Spring state. More on that, later.
The second (much shorter) segment highlights a U-Block explosion. While I didnāt capture the result in this video, Iāve seen it enough to appreciate the basic purpose of the part!
As stated, Iām convinced the basic problem, is that the current Driveshaft geometry necessitated a non-concentric UltraBall attachment to the rear Motor shaft; and that while this isnāt typically game-over on a normal Driveshaft, the CoAxial Juney Booster introduces a whole host of stress points Iād not encountered before.
Therefore, if my hypothesis is correct, lengthening the rear of the Driveshaft a bit, such that the golf ball can sit more concentric to it overall, should mostly remedy the issue. If that proves unsatisfactory, overall, I shall need to rethink the basic structure of the powertrain.
