Sorry mods, I know there’s a rule against sad stories and memorials, this is meant as a happy final update but if you have to remove, I understand. But one of them does bite me, evidence is in the video, so they’re still criminals!

We started with 5, then the one I chose to keep for sure, and named, suddenly became ill. Details on my comments history as this is a happy update, but she passed 24 hours later and I was devastated.

First thing next morning the 4 kittens and mum straight to the vet. Kittens all had the same blood results as Bella, but we got it earlier, and they are now all extremely happy and healthy.

The mum however had a severe infection in her uterus, and she was in kidney and liver failure range on her bloods.

As hoped, 4 nights at the vet stabilised her enough to remove the infection, and come home for recovery. Blood results all now in normal range and will make a full recovery!

Thank you everyone for you lovely supporting messages, it really really meant something. Bella came into my life at a time when I am barely holding things together, so her passing hit like a freight train.

So now I’ve named them all and will keep them all myself giving them all a forever home as outside cats with the mum.

Take care of your little ones, and always trust your gut. If something doesn’t feel right, or some advice sounds off, go to the pet hospital asap. Don’t make my mistake.

Kittens have been sick but the others aren't holding it against me. Jasper won't forgive me for giving him awful-tasting medicine and washing his bottom. More medicine to come on Monday. 😢

I have some very shy foster kittens right now, and was concerned about how I could weigh them. Ended up being the easiest weighing session I've had - all 3 took turns weighing themselves. I just had to sit nearby and wait.

Fellow smol aficionados, I’m back with an updated sauce measurement on my foster baby FK (Freeway Kitten). It’s been about 2 weeks and FK has grown by one whole sauce packet! He is now a hearty 3 sauces long and weighs in at 1 lb, 14 oz.

He went up north for a girls trip with me and some of my fellow foster coordinators last weekend, and then hung out with a babysitter all last week while I was traveling for work. I picked him up this morning and can hardly believe how much he has grown!
