I was just saying out loud "pick her up and snuggle her under your chin! That baby deserves to be under a chin for chin snuggles!!" The boob shelf is the optimal location for kitten placement as well.
The first time she jumped from the top of the counter I immediately finagled those stairs for her 😂 she has no fear!! My sweet, brave little Lia girl ☺️
OMG we adopted a kitty just like her! The person who was adopting them out sent us a video of a cute white calico kitten who would NOT stop meowing, and i fell in love. We named her piper. This is her now, a year later, and i’m pleased to say she still lives up to her name!
Sometimes mamas die, sometimes mama won't take care of them(if she senses they are sick/likely not going to survive, is she is a young, new/first time mama and is too stressed(sometimes she will kill and eat them in this situation)), sometimes a stray mama will get picked up by someone who doesn't understand she has babies, sometimes good Samaritans who don't know will see a lone kitten out mewing and think they need to intervene while mama was away for a while, sometimes a curious kitten will get into trouble while unattended by mama and legit needs to be rescued(in pipes or near roads, etc). Also, sometimes people dump kittens away from their pet the mama cat.
