Science career coaching
Has anyone had a good experience with any career coaching companies? Following grad school (PhD) I completed a short postdoc in a terrible lab with a PI I can't use as a reference, and now I'm trying to move forward and find a new position in either academia or industry. I'm needing a bit of help navigating the field, especially where it's at now, and I'm looking for people with more varied experience than academia alone (e.g. my grad school mentors). Any recs appreciated.

I have worked with Dr. Risley and I believe her method of identifying core values and a personal mission/vision are helpful exercises for identifying career goals and potential employers. https://krisrisley.com/

I didn’t have it. They give you several videos to watch, their job hunter says you are better at targeting jobs and getting interviews and at the end you waist your money. I suggest you to find few senior PI either in academy or industry to do informal interviews and ask them if they are hiring

Ugh, postdocs from hell are the worst, I had one that made me seriously consider just opening a bakery instead. I don't have a specific company rec but I found a few really sharp mentors through LinkedIn who'd made the jump to industry, just sliding into DMs with a specific question works better than you'd think. Most are weirdly generous with their time if you're not clearly there to ask for a job
