في شب بعرفه من الجامعة، ومن زمان كنت حسّ إنو في شي بيناتنا. قبل ما يختفي من حياتي، كان يفليرت معي كتير، يتصل فيي بعد الكلاس، يبعتلي جدولو، ويعمل شغلات حسّستني إنو معجب فيي. حتى مرة حكى عني لبنت منعرفها التنين وقاللها شي متل إنّي treasure.
بعدين اختفى تقريباً سنة أو أكتر، وعرفت إنو صار في بنت تانية بحياته. الغريب إنو كان أخدها على مطرح أنا كنت ناصحتو يروحو عليه و بعدها اختفى شي سنة بدون تواصل. انا بعتله اكم مرة و كان يرد عادي بس هو بطل يبعت ف انا كمان بعدت و بطلت ابعتله. بعد سنة من الاختفاء رجع حكى معي، واعتذر إنو اختفى، وقال إنو كان عم يمرق بفترة صعبة وإنو هو كمان أذى الإكس تبعو.
من وقت ما رجعنا نحكي، صرنا نقعد سوا بالجامعة وندرس بالمكتبة، وأوقات هو اللي بيبادر وبيبعتلي أو بيسألني إذا أنا بالجامعة. قاللي كمان إنو عادةً ما عندو بنات أصحاب بيحكي معن وبيشوفن، وإنو أنا مختلفة عن هالناحية، لأنو مع البنات التانيين بس بيسلّم عليهن إذا شافهن بالجامعة.
بس بنفس الوقت، هو أكتر من مرة قاللي إنو نحنا بعدنا صغار، والناس بتتغيّر بالعشرينات، وإنو الأحسن ما نفوت بعلاقات هلّق ونستنى لبعد التخرّج. وهو بيحكي عن حالو كمان، مش بس عني.
ولما حكينا عن علاقتنا، قال إنو نحنا أصحاب، وما بدو لا أنا ولا هو نتوقّع إنو يصير في شي بيناتنا بالمستقبل. وسألني إذا أنا مرتاحة نضل أصحاب. وكمان مرة قاللي إنو ما بدو ياني إكرهو إذا اختفى من حياتي مرة تانية.
في شغلة تانية حيّرتني: مرة سألني «إذا كنا سوا خنتك، شو كنتِ عملتي؟» واستغربت ليه عم يسألني هيك سؤال، خصوصي إنو نحنا مش مرتبطين أصلاً.
وكمان في تفاصيل صغيرة بتخلّيني إحس إنو يمكن في شي، بس بنفس الوقت كلامه واضح إنو بدو نضل أصحاب. مثلاً، كان بيعرف إنو عيد ميلادي قرب، بس ما عيّدلي.
اللي بدي أفهمو هو:
برأيكن، ممكن يكون كان معجب فيي من قبل، وهلّق بعدو عندو مشاعر بس ما بدو علاقة؟
ليه رجع بعد كل هالوقت واعتذر، إذا بالنهاية بدو نضل أصحاب؟
شو ممكن يعني إنو سألني عن الخيانة لو كنا سوا؟
ليه عم يبادر ويحكي معي ويشوفني، إذا هو عادةً ما بيعمل هيك مع البنات؟
برأيكن لازم آخد كلامه متل ما هو واعتبرو مجرد صديق، أو ممكن يكون في شي أكتر بس هو مش جاهز؟
بعرف إنو ما حدا فيو يعرف شو بقلبه غيره، بس حابة اسمع آراءكن، خصوصي من ناس بتفهم شوي عالعلاقات والتعارف بالمجتمع اللبناني. يمكن عم حلّل زيادة عن اللزوم، بس عنجد مش عارفة كيف فسّر تصرّفاته 😭
اضافة مهمة: قبل لا يختفي مرت فترة كان ب لبنان مسافر و ضل يبعتلي كل اسبوع و نحكي حتى و هو مع صحابه و اهله

Hello ❤️ I’m marrying a Lebanese-American guy, and we plan on having a dabke at our wedding. :) However, neither of us are good dancers lol- we plan on getting dance lessons for our “first dance,” but we live in northern Massachusetts, so the chances of us finding an instructor that can teach us dabke are slim. I’m Finnish, so needless to say I have not really been raised in a dancing culture lol. My two best friends are both Armenian/Assyrian and we’ve asked them to help lead the dabke (they both are familiar with very similar circle/line dances) but because they live back in my home state I won’t be able to learn much from them in person.

We’ve tried looking up dabke lessons online, but to no real avail haha. Do you have any good suggestions for dabke videos we can learn from, or any tips? Please help us not embarrass ourselves 😅

I’m looking for reviews from people who have gone to MUC, or those who know someone who did. I recently heard very bad reviews about CIS from people I met in person, and as far as I know MUC is connected to CIS. So, I’m worried that they don’t provide quality education for the amount they charge.

I signed up for the graphic design diploma, but if there’s better options out there I would appreciate knowing. My financial situation isn’t great so I have to be careful with what I choose.
