SUB ANNOUNCEMENT BIOS Update N3CN42WW - We have an official update from Lenovo (finally!)
This is from the website Tech Power Up:
- While the root cause has not been identified yet, it is clear it is not user error. As such it should generally be handled under warranty and, in the case of out-of-warranty devices, it should be repaired free of charge, but please check local laws. It was recently revealed in a handful of Reddit posts that an official Lenovo Legion Go BIOS update (N3CN42WW) was apparently causing the handheld gaming PCs to become unresponsive, with users claiming Lenovo told them they would be on the hook for repair costs.
- Now, nearly three weeks after the issues initially popped up, Lenovo has confirmed in a recent forum post that the issues cause by the BIOS update were indeed "not user error," and that repairs will be conducted by Lenovo under warranty. While the root cause has not been identified yet, it is clear it is not user error.
- As such it should generally be handled under warranty and, in the case of out-of-warranty devices, it should be repaired free of charge, but please check local laws.

So the good news is that Lenovo is addressing that the update failures were indeed a hardware problem and not something that was originally deemed as user error.
We will post a follow up as to when this gets further addressed, but according to Lenovo techs, they said they are "studying the issue".

BIOS vN3CN42WW (DO NOT UPDATE)
Hey Everyone,
It has come to our attention that some of the Z1E and Z1 versions are being bricked when updating to the latest BIOS that was released on June 17th, 2026.
Please do not update your devices unless you are willing to assume all risks. We the mod team are trying our best to understand and get help on this.
If we have any updates, we will share here. In the meantime, just comment with +1 if you are effected. This way we can get an understanding of how many of us are effected by this.
Thank you
Update: As mentioned in the pinned chat, Lenovo has removed the 42WW update

QUESTION Anyone Else Break Their Screen?
This is my legion go 2 z2e I just recently bought off marketplace. I’m so upset with myself. I always pride myself in the care I take with my “toys”, but this one was a true accident.
I usually use the console with my mechanism gaming pillow and leave it attached. I forgot I had detached it a couple days prior and just set it on the pillow. I grabbed the pillow and the console slipped right off about a 3 foot fall right onto our stick vac in the corner.
This thing shattered so bad it was surprising. This was even with a glass screen protector on it and I assumed when I peeled that off I would have a good screen, but lo and behold the whole thing shattered and seems really fragile at that.
My question is to anyone that has had this or something similar happen, is it worth it to go through Lenovos repair service? The oled display is out of stock on their site if I even wanted to do it myself. Any suggestions would be great!

Hello fellow space explorers!
Anyone playing No man's sky on LeGo?
Runs great on the Z1E with SteamOS. High settings, FSR on Balanced, TDP set to Performance.

HELP REQUEST Can't get legion space on new to me legion go
Just picked up a used legion go and it was factory reset but after installing windows I don't have the ability to use the space button or any of the legion functionality.
When I try to go to the legion support website I'm getting a error 14 bad upstream. I can use the legion but I can't turn it off because it just loops around in circles turning back on.
Is there anything I can do?

QUESTION Lenovo Legion Go S – RT trigger making a spring-like noise. Is this normal?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone!
The RT trigger on my Lenovo Legion Go S has started making a faint spring-like squeaking noise whenever I press it.
The trigger itself works perfectly fine, and the noise is pretty quiet, so it doesn't really bother me. However, I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to sound like this, especially since the LT trigger doesn't make any noise at all.
I've seen some people suggesting blowing air into the trigger to fix it, but I already tried that and it didn't help.
Has anyone else experienced this with their Legion Go S?
Do you think I should contact Lenovo and make a warranty claim, or is it safe to just ignore the noise and keep using it as long as everything works properly?
I'd appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thanks!

Since the latest SteamOS update, my Legion Go 2 controllers sometimes don’t reconnect after waking the device from sleep. They’re physically attached, but don’t respond.
I have to detach and reattach them to get them working again. This wasn’t happening before the update.

HELP REQUEST Should I Return?
Hi, I purchased a LEGO with Z1 extreme on eBay about a week ago for £320. It's got some sort of issue where the controller doesn't register, I've reset and done driver updates as well as windows. Recently I saw from some research that if you open the legion space app it registers so I do that before playing anything now. (Also the top right RB button is a tiny bit sticky compared to the LB button) - device was listed as perfect with no issues.
Just wondering if it's something the seller would have known or if it's a different issue and if I should return it.

And do I limit fps to 30? Mainly trying to get Dragon's Dogma 2 to play smoothly and look fairly okay. Thank you for any advice!
