Message from the Mads Regarding political posts: please use the new "Political" flair
Political figures were mentioned and mocked on MST3K throughout its classic run ... hell, the current guy was riffed on more than once (and that doesn't include Pod People). So, no, we will not be banning political posts.
For those who want to avoid politics when surfing the sub, we've created a "Political" flair. We ask that users select that when posting anything relating to political matters. Yes, even John Sununu getting a haircut. Some browser extensions and apps allow you to filter out certain flair, so that should help you avoid these posts. And if a post has that flair, don't be surprised if the comments are in that vein, too.
(For other posts, please use the "edit me" flair and change the text to mention the episode you're referencing, if applicable. Maybe some of us are getting older and our memory don't work so good anymore. But I digress.)
Oh, and when there are political posts, please remember our other rules. Especially "Be civil."
Thank you.

The Campaign of Fate
What I want to know is, where does she stand on the issue of The Child? Yes, or no?

Need some prophylactic rehab?
I've recently moved, and this doppling facility is on the way between my old apartment and my new house. I hope the man outside has enough credits to afford something better than a stupid repulsive anteater.

Way back in 1990, Joel's freestyle rant about "The 60s" ended up being a pretty good illustration of what we now call Generation Jones.

The Horror of Party Beach - Elaine's selfishness
When "daddy" had to school Elaine in good sleepover party etiquette about always calling if you won't be there, I thought it was a one time faux pas and that he was a bit controlling. But if you look closer, you'll see there are lots of examples of Elaine's bad behavior throughout the film. First, she sets out to steal Hank before Tina's corpse is even buried. Then, with the town reeling over the deaths of her friends, she enlists Eulabell to lay out an evening outfit for her (remember, Elaine isn't the maid here) and lure a sympathetic Hank over to take her out. Finally, if not for the excitement over the discovery of the sodium antidote, Elaine's damsel in distress act at the quarry nearly gets everyone killed. She's a bad person.

Gizmoplex Title Cards
Howdy!
Does anyone have access to the title cards used on the Gizmoplex? I wasn’t able to get them all before it went down and I’d love to use them for my collection.
I’m sure this has been asked and asserted but I can’t seem to find the reply so I figured I would ask again.
Thanks in advance!

TORCHA Teenagers from Outer Space diorama
I've finished making a diorama based on "Teenagers from Outer Space," featuring the sensitive alien Derek, the sensitive earthling Betty, and the no-longer sensing-anything remains of poor Sparky. WARNING: Gargon not to scale.

Giant robot movie?
I am trying to find the mst3k episode about big mechas, it was a film that almost felt like a sequel to robot jox, giant robots, I think in the form of a scorpion was used to give tours across a waste land, until a humanoid mecha was found which was bad for reasons.
I am sorry I cant offer more and i cant even remember who was hosting or anything, but does anyone know this episode?

This was on purpose right?
Viral marketing can just throw things in for the hell of it, but awesome if accidental.

Why was middle class (white) teenagers getting into “crime” such a concern in the 40s and 50s?
We had multiple experiments featuring the topic (Teenage Crime Wave, crime shorts, High School Big Shot, I Accuse My Parents.) and it feels strange considering what we knows about crime today.
Usually it’s done by kids not in the middle/upper class. It’s done by poor kids generally. So it feels weird to hyperfixate on that lol
