Yesterday bought this game, love the artwork, the game is very well tuned, bugs, performance etc, good work here, but what is this game about?

First run, died a few times, start all over, and then go to another place of the map, activating some tower (don't remember the name) exit map and is over?

The aim of the game is doing the exact same thing, activating a tower and exiting?

I have a buddy who ive played fps games with for years. Our skills haven’t improved with time but specifically in this game he suffers from bad positioning and knowing when to back up his teammates at the right time. Im not amazing either and i dont like telling people how they should play. Does anyone have little games of wisdom that are kind to say and helpful. I would rather die as a team than play solo but some evenings are a complete waste and I would like to play cryo without filling at some point before the game becomes starwars or whatever.

I’d rather spend 10 minutes waiting for a ranked game than use my good loot in outpost. Feels pointless farming all the gear from cryo with nowhere else to use it.

Literally done hella keys and stomped some green/blue teams in outpost, perim and dire marsh. How is this a good idea for anyone?

I'm playing on PS5. I keep seeing people talk about the aim assist in this game, but I'm just not seeing it. I've played games with aim assist where I can see it "kicking in", but not in Marathon. I'm not saying it's not there, just wondering if I am missing something.

The reason I ask is because I've been struggling with aiming (like literally getting my crosshairs into my target) more than I do in other games, and this seems strange if this game has significant aim assist.

Also, I've been told that I shouldn't try to aim train, I should try to learn how to play into the aim assist. That's fine, but not if I'm not even sure what the aim assist is even doing or how it works.

Any advice? Should I try to learn to use the aim assist to my advantage? Can anyone explain how aim assist is working?

And idk why I ego challed the 3rd runner with a sliver of health 😂💀 but we got got out of a bad situation and wiped the second team.

As someone who has been playing the game since beta, what happened to this community? It feels like no matter where I go, everyone is incredibly toxic for no reason. Every server I joined either has people who will scream at you for no reason, leave the game mid-fight, or demands you be kitted to high heaven. Purple and gold stacks are everywhere and it feels impossible to compete, especially someone who has no friends on the game. I say I'm average at best and I do want to get better but it's hard to do so when both my teammates and the enemy feel the need to degrade you and steer you away from playing the game altogether. Has anyone completed a combined total of more than enough evolutions to get WEAVEmaster between the 2 seasons and get or not get the title?

My assumption is that it requires doing it in a single season, but every time I bring that up I get told how obvious it is that it can be done in multiple seasons. Surely by now someone can put this to bed

Heard a purple key go off in quarantine, so I formulated a plan..

No player should drop loot bags on death. The items should just be “repossessed” by CyAc and be obliterated along with the body (upon team wipe).

This would remove players as often the best source of loot (“piñatas”)and force engagement with the world / contracts (which would need more loot to compensate slightly)

It would still be valuable to kill other players as they pose a risk of stealing the best loot (can’t have another team taking our hard earned rewards from upper complex) plus Arachnie can reward for killing players. Not to mention that it’s inherently fun.

This would inadvertently solve the issue of teammates stealing downed teammates gear (greifing)

I genuinely think this would make the game more fun.

Title is body. Especially in solos, invisibility is way too OP. I never play solos but holy shit it’s only assassins that sit in corners and hide. “Solos is a whole other game it’s like a horror game” that’s cuz everyone whose in sits and waits for other people to engage with the map then invis pushes them. I’m 500 hours, multiple compiler clears, already have 4 gold shields, shit ton of purples golds. So this isn’t some skill issue. This shit is just ass.
inbetween the shit fest that was cryo on Monday and solos being absolutely just boring and/horrible because people play like that, I’m genuinely thinking about uninstalling and being done with this game.

I love the recon nerfs but never did I realize how much it would encourage assassin meta and ratting. Shit is so boring.

Close range and obviously my crosshair should've been still within the tracking range. Enemy wasn't dashing or using movement abilities.

I saw a thread about this "bug" about 8 months ago, maybe this is still a thing?

Okay I wanna start by saying that I'm ecstatic about being rewarded the art sticker and I'm so glad Bungie devs continues to support their creator fanbase. I was just a bit disappointed that you only received 2x stickers, I had plan on putting it on all my weapons!

Unless I missed something, and stickers are becoming unlimited in season 3, I feel like those special rewards should just reward you x99 stickers?

Im not gonna sit here and say the gun isn't powerful as hell. But to everyone who complained about its availability leading to it being in vault 6... how many have you acquired this season? Leading the people who are dangerous with it to already have loads. Do you think that leveled the playing field for you any? In my opinion, it's only going to be worse of a problem when you die to it and can't easily obtain one yourself.

While I understand the originals had a story, that was also ~30years ago before live service games were even a thing. I just don’t get why THIS live service needs to have one to be considered “complete” or “good” by so many people. Valorant, apex, overwatch, CS, arc raiders, and so many others have managed just fine without one. I get it, it’s Bungie, they’ve created many stories that we grew up with and love, but this game is a PvPvE game and it perfectly delivers exactly that experience.

Hopefully the PvE mode will shift the view a bit but it’s just a bit silly to me.

On the top left a message on the hud comes up that says emergency exfil activated. That's nice info to have when your trying to revive ur team and the enemy is camping the bodies the entire match.

Genuinely curious. I've really fallen for the game, a huge fan of the art and general mechanics of gameplay as fps. I have become hooked playing rook and occasionally doing contracts mostly pure solo. I dont have any interest in these arachne contracts, not trying to hate I just dont care and Im glad it gives you the agency to ignore it. Am I the only fool who does such a ridiculous nonsensical thing?
