Just listened to Charmbracelet for the first time and I love it! Very different from her ballad heavy albums. I love the samples too and how she leans into rap.

I’ve heard Through The Rain and The One before I ever listened to the full album.

Fellow lambies, do any of yall remember an interview Mariah did via zoom or whatever other online platform in 2025 after the bet awards to a (I think) British, blondish guy in his late 20s to late 30s? Mariah had on straight medium length hair (similar to summertime ball) and she was fully dressed in performance attire (gold dress I think). I know I watched it at the time because I even went as far as to follow the guy on ig (he was cute ok…). I’m sure it was scrubbed from the internet but I can’t even find the name of the station or interviewer (I stoped following him not long after)

Can we wake up the fact that Mariah sold millions of records without the assistance of blockbusters? I’m looking at albums from her peers, and I noticed that there’s one in particular who is an amazing S tier vocalist no doubt but two of her albums, which are also some of the biggest on the planet were heavily assisted by blockbusters… you would think Mariah being Sonys biggest female artist they would’ve been even more greedier and featured her music on film but there’s not a single song.

I tried this 3 times and this was the best one. Just singing random melodies and trying not to sing it normally and I didn’t plan what notes I was gonna sing, it just happened lol let me know what you think and try it yourselves 🤣 inspired by her live performances where she sings her songs different to the originals

Does anyone have a link to MC’s version? The song itself is giving Miss You Most At Christmastime and no offense to Faith Hill but the song wasn’t in her key and was too demanding for her vocally.

I HATE how some people undermine or don’t appreciate THE MARIAH CAREY’s songwriting ability just because some songs of hers are labeled as “CO-WRITTEN WITH (Name of Artist/Co-Writer)”.

They think of Mariah as if she’s like, “Oh my gosh I have to write a song but I need help to get the words and melody right 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹. Basically I get them to write the song and I’ll add JUST A FEW words to make it mine and co-written 💕😝.”

When in reality it’s like, “Oh, I have this melody, I have to record it so I could come back to it,” (After) “So yeah I have this melody in my mind and I need help with the instrumental (Ex. Piano) and I will figure out the words to this song. Let’s develop the intro, chorus, bridge, and so and so.”

I just think that we want Mariah to be appreciated not just as a vocalist, but also as a songwriter.🐑 ALSO BECAUSE I LEARNED A LOT OF WORDS FROM HER (Ex. Incandescent, Flourish, Nonchalant, Reverie, and many more).

She may be one of the best singer-songwriters out there, but to me, SHE’S THE MOST OUTSTANDING AND BEST SINGER-SONGWRITER.
That’s what makes her different from the other artists she’s with during her time—even today.

I was so elated to hear Mariah perform Sugar Sweet at the iHeart Festival last year! Even if it was just a verse and chorus, it fed my soul and satisfied my earworm! Such an instant classic!

So I was listening to Ariana Grande’s debut album for the first time today and what struck me was how it had Mariah’s influence all over it.

I know I’m not saying anything new.

The chorus of “Baby I” sounds exactly like “Secret Love” from TEOM bonus tracks.

Also her lead single “The Way” sounds a bit like “I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time.” Does anyone else hear this or is it just me? Lol

Does anyone know if Mariah is releasing the original version of Loverboy’s music video in 4k too or if it’s only the remix with Da Brat?

Yes, we got the 25th anniversary edition that was relatively underwhelming, but are we expecting anything for 🦋30? Should we expect anything? Any hopes for outtakes? What would you want to see? Maybe we’ll get Someone’s Ugly Daughter as a consolation prize? Question mark????

I actually kind of like it! Of course the original version from 1993 (which is also by Mariah 😜🤣) is iconic and could never be topped, but she slid right into this remade version. I love how she adapted it to the state of her voice at that time!

What about you? What do you think about this one?

You know I was thinking with re-release of glitter and these happy moments I think can really put Mariah in a good mood. As I always want to her to do what’s best for her but can’t wait what she does for Christmas this year. I know there are the shows but I love her commercial stuff she does, I feel like she’s the beacon of hope for all of us that feel like the world is harsh, but we know the timeless Mariah always comes to bring the warm and classic/timelessness of Christmas. I just get so excited when she does something like the apple special or Rockefeller. Want to see more of her outside her concerts!!

But again her happiness and comfort matter the most since last time she said “hallelujah! It’s over” Lol!!!
