My goal for this year is to be braver. I booked ComicCon tickets as part of this, and the first day I will be solo. I am also doing cosplay for the first time ever. Safe to say my nerves are pretty high 😅

So here are some questions:

1) are there any meet ups for socially anxious/awkward solo attendees?

2) how hot does the event get? I will be wearing a three layer dress (light fabrics luckily!) - will I get overheated or should I be okay?

3) how long should I expect to wait in queues? I mainly plan on attending Writer's Block on day one (along with Critical Role panel and some browsing/shopping stalls). I haven't fully mapped out my day yet as I want to be realistic about timings 😅

How on earth have so many people left it so late to try and get tickets? They've been on sale since May and now threads are flooded with people hawking sob stories about needing tickets but having left it to THE WEEK BEFORE CON they're now shocked they can't get them. That or apparantly having looked forward to various photo ops, meet and greets, panels etc since they were announced they somehow missed the posts and emails about needing a reservation and are DESPERATE to buy one now. People would do well to remember mcm tickets are not resellable, not transferable. MCM advertises the ticket availability regularly in the run up to con, it posts plenty of warning about reservations, including a date when they go live. I'm not talking about people who tried to get reservations on the day, but the ones offering to sell their soul for a panel or con ticket a week before that they didn't care enough about to research about beforehand. It's insanity this year, i've never seen it like it!!

Last year I managed to get a pic with my fav actor and the photo ended up really cute :) but we weren’t really posing (which is ok!) but this year I maybe want to try something different!

How do you guys go about asking your guests for specific poses? I’ve seen pics where the guests have (for example) their arm around the other person or they’re doing a cute little heart with their hands or something! I’m just wondering how you even go about asking for cute poses and knowing if the guests are comfy with it :,) I’m planning to see Vivziepop and I’m a bit nervous :,>

i have screwed up and left it too late to get Saturday tickets for my daughter and I to go to Comicon.

She is having a rough time and I don't want to let her down. Im hoping and praying that someone has one they don't need (then she could go with a friend) or a pair, and then I could go too.

Obvs I don't want anything bad to happen to others. But if you have a spare ticket you don't need, please let me know. My daughter has had some dark times lately and this will brighten her world (and yes I have learned my lesson to buy tickets early!)

Im getting a flight the same day as the con on Friday, I arrive in london at 7.55 ish, Im able to get to the con for abt 9.30 and I have priority, but im a bit confused on how it works, does priority have a separate line? Or do I just have to arrive early to get in at 10 or else im stuck in a que till 12? This is my first time travelling alone and going to a comic con so im quite nervous

So I forgot to book parking 🥲 and now there's only the overflow option left. It says it's "not in our venue car park" but the postcode it says to use is the excel car park so I'm a bit confused. Googling it doesn't really bring up any results either. Has anyone used the overflow parking before?
